Hip-Hop/Rap- I enjoy underground type rap.Rock- I like rock overallR&B- pussy sh*t. I don't like it.Pop- Not a big fan. Probably would like the occasional songs.Metal- its aight.Country- not that much.Instrumentals- I don't mind this type of music.Techno- I like a couple songs. Not my choice of music though.

Hip-Hop/Rap- Bounce beats, all that good sh*tRock- Some rock just gets on my nervesR&B- great music, love neo-soul, Legend is a monstaPop- Not a big fanMetal- Even worse than rockCountry- None at allInstrumentals- It's okTechno- None of that

Hip-Hop/Rap- I like the lyrics and intensity of it.Rock- I like old school rock (The Who, Rolling Stones, etc.) and I love alternative (RHCP, Sublime, etc.)R&B- John Legend owns.Pop- Hate it.Metal- Nah.Country- White trash people talking about riding horses? Hell no, it isn't the 1800's.Instrumentals- Never really listened to too much.Techno- I hate it, takes no musical talent.

Hip-Hop/Rap-Good sh*t, some of itRock- blah. not a fan of it. some its okay..R&B- some of its good. not much new R&B is that goodPop- blah. maybe when I was 8Metal- not a fan of loud yelling, screamingCountry- uhhh. no.Instrumentals- no real opinion on itTechno- lol. I'm asian. but I don't like techno. Unless you consider Cascada- Everytime we touch as techno, thats the only one I actually like. It's musical ecstacy for me

Hip-Hop/Rap - Not a fan, but do like some stuff by Run DMC and Beastie Boys. Other than that, I pass.Rock - Favorite genre, especially back in the 70s(overall a great decade imo with films/music). Do like some current stuff like RHCP, Puddle of Mudd, Wolfmother, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Tool, Saliva and yes Nickelback(knowing they aren't well received on this board.)R&B - Brian McKnight, Joe maybe. Don't listen to it much. Pop - aka the Guily Pleasures category. I have listened to the pop music and enjoyed it. Won't lie.Metal - More or a less a fan, but not crazy about it.Country - Being born in Delaware, can't help but like country music. Instrumentals - Only recently started to listen to some, Cells, Just like you Imagined, The a la Menthe are the ones I like.Techno - Don't really care for it.Also, didn't know what category to mention it in, but should be it's own. Motown music.

Hey Rok, I was born in Texas and I hate it.
laugh.gif

Hip-Hop/Rap - Love it, I don't like most of today's stuff, though.Rock - Same thing with rap, I just like classic rock. R&B - I don't mind it, it get me in a calm mood. Pop - Hell no. Metal - Too f*cking loud.Country - I hate it. Instrumentals - I don't listen to them.Techno - It's... different. But I don't listen to it.

QUOTE

Hey Rok, I was born in Texas and I hate it.
You should be lynched!

Hiphop/rap- Meh, only a few songs appeal to me. Not really interested in hearing the f word every other second and not being able to understand what is being sang.Rock- Love it. Not the emo stuff like Green Day, Fall Out Boy, The Fray, etc. It's gotta be the hard rock. I like both older stuff like Led Zeppelin, Ozzy, Rush, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen, Sabbath, The Who, Hendrix, Pink Floyd etc, and semi-modern/modern like Metallica, RHCP, Soundgarden, Bush, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Tool, Seether, you get the drift.R&B- No thanks. Don't like it at all.Pop- See R&B.Metal- Depends what you mean by metal. Not crap like slipknot. I'd rather gouge out my eyeballs with a pointy rusted piece of metal covered in flaming semen..Country- I like a decent amount. Gets you settled down and lets you reflect on life a bit. I however don't like the more popular ones like Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, or Garth Brooks. That gets on my nerves.Instrumentals- It's alright I guess. Techno- God no. Listening to the same beat over and over and over and over and over. Ugh.Motown- Love it. Great music came out of there. God bless Detroit.Blues- I like a little bit of blues. Lots of great lyrics.

Rock - Love it. My overall favorite genre.Rap - Like some of it. I like the guys who actually have flow, and dont just talk about "Girls and rims". Hate most of the popular stuff nowadays.R&B - I like a couple songs here and there but dont listen to it much.Pop - Some of it is catchy, but otherwise no. There isnt really pop these days anymore.Metal - I dont like the full out yelling stuff, but I like most metal.Country - Only real genre, I cant stand.Instrumentals - Dont listen to it.Techno - Can be catchy and sometimes cool but dont really like it.

Hip-Hop/Rap- Not a big rap fan. Run DMC, Beastie Boys, & Juelz Santana only rap I listen to. I absolutley hate trendy/radio rap. Rock- Yes please. 70's and 80's rock are it! I'm not really into this era of rock music. I have started liking some Indie music a little bit.R&B- Nothing I will listen to on a regular basis. But on occasion it's doable. Pop- Spice Girls are always in. Metal- Not into metal, maybe a song here and there. I don't like the mosh crap.Country- Not much country for me. Some I will listen to. But I hate the deep honky tonk country music. Instrumentals- Same as techno?Techno- Never appealed to me. Someone is there and before you know it they are gone.Blues- I love rythem and blues.Jazz- Jazz music sucks! Just kidding I just wanted to pull a Celtic Pride

Hip-Hop/Rap- I really like it, but I'm not into much underground. I like Jay-Z (not really the newer stuff though
dry.gif
), Luda, Fort Minor, a few others (my mind is blank right now).Rock- It's right up there with rap. I might like it a little bit more just because I think it is a little more fun to perform. It's just different. I like a lot of different stuff. I like LP, AC/DC, Sublime, Incubus, RHCP, Thrice, Queen, NIN, 311, 90's alternative, etc.R&B- I like singing it a lot, but not necessarily listening to it all the time.Pop- I like some pop. There some talented artists out there, but obviously most of it is crap.Metal- I'm not really into it.Country- I only like a few songs/artists. Most of it sucks as well, but whatever. I live in Texas, so it's hard to escape it.Other than that, I like Kenna who is kinda electronica/experimental, but that's about it.

QUOTE (Rok @ Jun 10 2007, 08:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You should be lynched!
Haha, even worse my dads side is from Oklahoma.

Hip-Hop/Rap - Big fan, gets me pumped and enjoy listening to it.Modern Rock - Huge fan of some bands, not so big about a lot of others. The ones I like I really get into and enjoy.Classic Rock - Awesome, very enjoyable to listen to and the classics are just amazing.R&B - Only enjoy some of it, if it's catchy.Pop - Very little songs that I'll enjoy.Metal - Linkin Park count? I consider them rock. I suppose I like the occasional metal song but definitely don't listen regularly.Country - Not a fanTechno - Nah, don't find it catchy at all.

Hip-Hop/Rap - Most definitely. Probably occupies 70-80% of all the songs I haveRock - Just the classics, couldn't be bothered with the newer stuff. GNR, ACDC, Led Zeppelin.R&B - Good break from hardcore rap.Pop - Only Michael Jackson really, or on the radio sometimes.Metal - Black Sabbath and Metallica, I like.Country - Nah not reallyTechno - Nah not reallyReggae - 2nd favorite genre, great relaxing roots, catchy dancehall melody. It's awesome.

Rock- I find it a bit overrated but there are some good guys out there if you look hard enough.

Hip-hop/Rap-I never caught on, for those who say it's not music are wrong, it employ's the very fundamentals of music.

R&B-My taste for it died when Eddie Kendricks left the Temptations.

Pop-the worst musicians in the business can be found here(oddly enough they have the biggest ego's too).

Metal-only the good stuff, Dream Theater...and a few underground guys that can really wail.

Country-contrary to popular belief, it's exactly the same as rock, only with different lyrics.

Jazz-Almost exclusively the Bebop sub-genre, but I also like a couple of the older swing players like Lester Young and Colman Hawkins(they set thetable andBird, Dizzie and Thelonious Monk served dinner onit)and some of the Kansas City legends like Bird of course...I could go on.

Instrumentals-Yes, real good music doesn't need lyrics to convey it's points.

Techno-Not too much. Then again I'm just old fashioned.

Prog-rock- You guys left this one out, it's the best part of rock musically, Rush, ELP, Yes, early Pink Floyd, King Crimson all helped bring musicianship to a whole new level in rock before they were killed by punk and disco.

Punk- I hate it almost as much as I hate the Celtics, no talent what-so-ever.

Disco-See Punk.

Hip-Hop/Rap- I have a hige problem with mainstream rap and hip hop, but I respect and listen to some of the more underground or more musicianship lead hip hop.For teh most part I can't relate lyrically or towards a lifestyle. Some artist: Bone Thugz N Harmony, Atmoshphere, Dead Prez

Rock- IM a big fan but not for that radio stuff. Im very anti - nickleback, Blue october, generic radio rock. I enjoy Alice In Chains, RHCP, CKY, Clutch, 3, Led Zep tones moreR&B- No thanks, Im not into teh whole luvey dubby stuff

Pop- Don;t like it at all, pop music is garbage for the most part

Metal- My main genre of music

. I love alot of it everything from Metrallica and old school thrash metal, classic stuff like Black Sabbath, melodic death metal like In Flames and Soilwork, some crazy stuff like Mastadon. I really love the genre.

Country- No thanks, never been a fan, just doesn;t excite me at all

Techno/Dance: I understand the purpose of the music and everything and I respect teh ones who create it but I don't listen to it.

Hip-Hop/Rap- Love it. Its truth, in so many ways, and it moves me.

Rock- Love everything from the 50's to 70's. Great, time-independant music was made during that period.

R&B- Yeah, it's ok. Not quite as inspiring for me as other genre's.

Pop- garbage. I never listen to it. If you like pop, chances are that you are also reading the supermarket tabloids about pop stars and keeping up with what Britney Spears is up to.

Metal- Hell yes. Metal is one of the most powerful forms of music that the world has ever witnessed. It's not to be underestimated. Go read the lyrics and listen to Slayer - South of Heaven. It has helped me out a lot.

Country- No way. Rednecks are ignorant to so many things, and it tends to come out in their music. They should go travel the world, mingle with more people outside their race, and realize that people outside their homogenous,all-white, Christiancommunites are not all that bad.

Hip-Hop/Rap- fanbut some of that shit is crap. For real I want to punch whoever sings that stupid party like a rockstar song.Rock- Its fifty/fifty

R&B-Kells is the shit. I dont care if he likes peeing on 17 year oldsPop- If it aint the pussy shitMetal- I like SlipknotCountry-I like it alotInstrumentals-I need to sing along to songsTechno-Moby is good

hip hop/rap - nas, outkast, jayz, 2pac, biggie, eminem, mos def, kanye west, wu tang, the roots

rock - the strokes, incubus, tool, rage against the machine, system of a down, the deftones, queens of the stone age, the mars volta, the white stripes, foo fighters

Hip-Hop/Rap - True Hip Hop is beautiful. Listen to One Be Lo...old Talib Kweli...anything with Nicolay...or the Pete Rock 'Petestrumentals' album. I'm talking about rappers who are MUSCIANS

Rock - Raised on it. Pre-stacy's mom Fountains of Wayne, Francis Dunnery, XTC, Steely Dan, Blur

R&B - Just started listening to this. Besides Dwele I don't really have a favorite artist

Pop - Die

Metal - Thanks to Guitar Hero I can appreciate it. I like War Pigs alot, other than that...no thanks.

Country - Die more.

Instrumentals - Some of the best hip hop doesn't have lyrics. I mentioned the 'petestrumentals' album. Also anything by Nicolay (Let it Shine for me), JAY DILLA

Techno - Sometimes when I'm running. I also really like Prodigy's 'The Fat of the Land' album.

Hip-Hop/Rap- An intellegent lyricist and challenging beats yes. Crunk and the like are worse than reality TV.Rock-yes yes yes. As long as its not commercial. Give me anything from the Kinks to Janes Addiction to Motley crue, all good

R&B-rather eat my own penis than listen to this.... really

Pop- see above comment

Metal - Im in a metal band so you do the math...Country- Johnny Cash is cool, so is Willie Nelson. His reggae album (no Really) is geniusInstrumentals- Dub Reggae, Trip Hop... ultimate come down music. gooooood shitTechno- Give me some glitch or jungle instead thanks

Hip-Hop/Rap- Some, but not the stuff on the radio where they don't seem to know how to write about much other than chicks, money and cars. The guys on the radio are either selling out, or not very talented. There are some exceptions (Nas, some Jay-Z, Eminem)

Rock- All rock other than this new stuff (My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy). Rock is my favorite genre because they can write great lyrics but they also play their instruments too. They are multi talented. Not just one dimensional

R&B- Some of the old stuff (Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, The Isley Brothers)

Pop- No

Metal- A very small amount of it

Country- Not really

Instrumentals- Haven't listened to enough of it

Techno- It's ok. Kind of cool to listen to every now and then.

Hip-Hop/Rap- Real Hip Hop; mos def, talib kweli, nas, one be lo, the roots, cunninlynguists, zion I, and so on. The crap that's on the radio is sickening.

Rock- i like alternative rock a little bit. I went through a phase where I absolutely loved green day, but that died down a few years ago. I still listen to their stuff a little. RHCP are my favorite band.

R&B- i really like R&B, but I hardly find myself listening to it often.

Pop- No

Metal- No. gives me headaches

Country- a little

nstrumentals- sometimes

Techno- big no

Hip-Hop/Rap- Meh, I think the majority of it is horrible. Like Nas though.Rock-Love bands like Green Day, Nirvana, The Beatles, Eagles, etc. R&B-Not a big fan.Pop- LOVE POP. Avril Lavigne, Shakira, Nelly Furtado, Gwen Stefani they rock my world! Metal- Metallica is metal right? Never really got the distinction between this and rock.

Country- hate it.

Instrumentals-boringTechno- horrible.

Hip-Hop/Rap- i like half of it. half of the rap out today has turned to shit, with rappers coming out with stupid hip-pop just to make some money. nas, pac, rakim, and others who keep it real are good.

Rock- eh. punk rock's good. brand new used to be good, i love 'your favorite weapon' nothin too hardcore tho.

R&B-love r&b. all the old stuff, some of the new stuff.

Pop- annoying as hell.

Metal- no thanks.

Country- love it. sometimes i think i'm a country boy at heart.

Instrumentals-blah

Techno- wtf??? this is music?
