As long as he stays healthy, and keeps improving, he is a steal at those prices.

Nothing I have seen indicates that he does. Sometimes those things show up later, but nothing in the press gave any hint of a player option.

Absolutely it was a great deal. It would be like trading an old run down Shaq (like next year for example) in return for Greg Oden or Andrew Bynum. Gotta love it.

the lakers came out with the best trade this year with the pau gasol trade...lakers don't even seem to miss bynum!

I think its a good trade but I hope he does get better next year when he's fully healthy. It remains to be seen how good he can be. Is he a guy you build your team around or is he a complementary player? My hope is that he can be an even better Tony Parker since he appears to be just as fast and fearless when attacking and finishing at the rim. He's also bigger than Parker and more athletic which should make him a better defender. He has a chance to be a special player and if he could pass like Parker or improve his jumpshot then we'd be looking at a Chris Paul clone, but I'd settle for a Tony Parker with defense and thats what I feel he will turn out to be.
