This is the kind of bullshit that drives me crazy. This is such a small and out of context clip. Typical.

Take the time to listen to this if you have interest in context and accuracy. I'm not saying that Ballmer is necessarily telling the truth but this is the entire interview. He feels anger about the fraudulent company at the heart of this controversy. According to Balmer, he owned 3% of the company and had no seat on the board and never had any control of who they endorsed. Balmer says he was defrauded by that company.

The evidence does not support him.

Here is a response by Trevor Lane. 4:53 to 5:23 is a commercial, so skip that.

When my book comes out, there will be a chapter solely about Mike Rice. He told me some shit that they did when he was the coach at Duquesne back in the day that will have you cracking up!
And if you need a ghostwriter for your book, you know da man to call!

I don't know either way, I wouldn't be surprised if Ballmer did some underhanded shit.

I just think that clip that @BigGameDamian posted was completely out of context and that kind of thing is way too common. Nothing against BGD, he's not the one that edited the clip however, the person that did the editing and commentary on Twitter was purposely misleading.

Ballmer did not say he was angry about what was being reported, he was representing that he was angry at the company that he said defrauded him and the Clippers.

I hope that they throw the book at Balmer and the Clips. I don't care what other teams may have gotten away with similar kinds of shenanigans. The Blazers are a small market team and, by comparison with a guy like Balmer, are going to have a small market level ownership. The CBA is designed to help to level the playing field a bit between the haves and the have nots around the league. Unless the league punishes teams for end runs around the the salary cap rules, we may as well fold up shop here in Blazersville.

Imagine is you had me blocked…..you wouldn’t see this.

ballmer did a great job executing a 'best playbook/consultant team money can buy.'

he opens by explaining the rules, as if he's big on rules.

ok.

he needed to communicate that he doesn't know much about the details (classic move), that he's not super connected to them.

ok.

he needed to share some parts that are similar to what pablo talked about so it seems like it was something misunderstood.

ok.

that the story isn't him or his team, it's a scummy company that won't be in front of the media anytime soon. that he was among others defrauded. not really, steve. the story here is you and the clippers.

sorry.

in other words, guy who has circumvented the cap before claims he didn't circumvent the cap this time either.

uh huh, okay, steve.

he doesn't give an eff about what we think--he clearly knows he's not going to get penalized. he's worried other owners are going to get annoyed by him and that he broke the spirit of the nba cba, even if it wasn't improper by letter and law.
