Negative, unless they bought it in the past 2 days.
Who is Stevens? Monte Shelton lives right around the corner from us. Always has new rides.
Paige lives fairly close to me in a town south of Portland, Oregon. I see him tooling around town a few times a year in his Renault R5 Turbo or his F50, or one of his Caterhams. I always honk & wave, but he never looks around. He tells me he doesn't like the assumptions people make about him when he's driving one of his exotics. He's really a very quiet and unassuming man, understands, and is thankful for, his good life and luck. He owns Stevens Marine boat retail stores and Alumaweld alloy river boat manufacturing company in southern Oregon. He started with not much many years ago when he bought a struggling boat retailer, and built up his businesses into what they are today.
I met him several years ago when I had a hot Caterham Super 7 & he was interested in buying one. I let him drive it for a session during a track day, the next track day he took me out in his F50 for several very hot laps. The man can flat drive, he's no poser. He's obviously spent time getting excellent driving instruction and puts it to good use whenever he can. He drives all his exotics like he's going to sell the damn things the day after tommorrow, no holding back for him. I'll go to my grave with the sights and sounds of that F50 burned into my memory. He shifted it at about 9,000 rpm, just about when the rev limiter came in. That V12 with a Tubi exhaust screaming a few inches behind my ears was an unforgettable experience. The acceleration pulled my cheeks back inside my helmet, but the braking power was truly death defying. Braking from about 140 to 30 in what seemed like 20 yards was enough to just completely disorient me, I've never imagined anything like it B4 or since.
The Cobra is a kit, a very good one professionally done. Paige buys and sells a few cars a year, always gets the latest Ferrari. He and Ron Tonkin, another Portland collector and big Ferrari and others auto dealer around here, always get whatever is the latest & best Ferrari has to offer. Tonkin just puts the order in to Ferrari USA for 2 of the latest as soon as he hears about anything new. Paige told me he doesn't like Lamborghinis, he's had a few, always sold them ASAP. Says they are too poser, not as much of a driver's car as a Ferrari.

The guy who parks his f50 or 599 outside of the LO startbucks next to the guy with the murcielago would probably love to debate with you who in the area can afford what car. I am pretty sure they laugh when the guy in the r8 tries to park in their row. They both have several, I have seen them color coordinate before. Depending on the year a Veyron can be as cheap as 1.5 which isnt a lot to some of these folks.
Money aside, my favorite car was Pendergraphs, though it pales in comparison to the stickers on some of those cars at the Tonklin GT lot.
Stop by AR Auto Service in Lake Oswego for proof of this. There are a lot more exotic cars in the PDX area than most people think.
