Do you like projects around the house that will help keep you busy or do you prefer hiring someone to do them for you?

As with all thinga I prefer to do them myself. If I can make more money working than it costs to pay someone I'll consider hiring someone if the final result doesn't have to be perfect.Do you like projects around the house that will help keep you busy or do you prefer hiring someone to do them for you?

It is fun, doing that tile accent wall was fun. Especially considering it was literally the first tile work I've ever done.Heck it never becomes fun.

If the materials weren't so expensive I'd do the entire main wall in the great room/kitchen. I figure 3000 for tile at list price and it would probably take 3 weekends.

Tile work is one of my on going projects at the cave. I am installing porcelain floor tile in every room, the only way to go with active dogs that play inside.
For those who have never installed tile, there are a million steps to make it come out right, such as leveling and preparing the floor.
You should rip that mud room door out and center it with the tile pattern. Kidding mostly, looks great.Tile work is one of my on going projects at the cave. I am installing porcelain floor tile in every room, the only way to go with active dogs that play inside.

Can’t use the Blazers logo, or, everyone will know that no one is guarding the cave.
It will be nice when done, looks good in pictures. You should see my grandmother's house built in I think the 20's by my great grandfather. No foundation, just wood on small chunks of concrete. My uncle placed jacks under the corners to kinda level it out.Agree, but that is the least of my problems. This is a very old house that was added onto three times. The owner thought he was a handyman and did his own work. Or maybe he was just cheap and did everything himself. Nothing lines up, is level or square in that house. I have been fixing it up for almost three years, and it still needs more work before I move in full time.

Even if something I do myself doesn't turn out perfect I can accept that because I did it.
Do you own a heavy duty truck? Tie that sum bitch up and gas it!This right here.
I need to hire a tree removal guy because the one in the backyard is about to fall over onto the house.
Anyone know anybody?
Tree needs to go first. lol

Wityh that said, I need to hire a plumber to assess whether adding new pipes will improve my water pressure. I need to hire a tree removal guy because the one in the backyard is about to fall over onto the house.
I need to hire a GC because I wont have the time to replace/modify my back deck to allow for a cement slab, hot tub and AC unit.

Actually, I may be able to help you with the tree removal guy. My sister-in-law's baby-daddy could fell it for you, and my father-in-law has an industrial wood splitter to deal with it after it comes down. This right here.
