Well mainly it was just that last line, but ill just keep my opinions to myself thank you!

I used to a play a lot of basketball growing up and into my 20s. I'm 36 now with a teenager (who just started college), a toddler, and 4 month old. I still love playing pickup games whenever I get a chance but it hasnt happened in a long while. Plus, last time I played a pickup game, I kept going as long as I could (about 2 hours) and I was so cramped up afterwards I couldnt even walk back home from the neighborhood park. It took me almost an hour for what would normally be a 5 minute walk.

I'm 5'11". I played for six months at the stockade at Ft. Lewis WA. I was a good rebounder because I hung out under the basket. I could not hit any shot excpt a layup but i was more consistent at that than Nurk.

Mods, please change title to: Do you even hoop, bro?! :dunno: Seems more fitting for OP's "lockeroom talk"

I’m definitely an out of shape former pickup/Y league hooper. Best position is probably a stretch Power Forward. I can still shoot it pretty decently from 3. A couple post moves but not much. Decent post defense. Below average perimeter D. Kinda like Sheed minus the defense. Lmao.

I used to cross folks up at the neighborhood gym. Then I retired and started my bodybuilding career.

I mean, like, backyard pickup, local organized, church league, or such?

If so, what's your best position, and are you decent/good? BB style-wise, which Blazer might you most aligned with - past or present?
Why yes I do hula hoop.

Back in the day.......
They called me "Kiki King" 'cos I was a blend of Kiki Vandewege and Bernard King.
Had a unstoppable Elvin Hayes-like turn around J. on the mid post. I was a good shot blocker and long range (before the 3 pointer!) shooter.
In high school, I "held" Jeff Stout (starter on OSU 1981 #1 ranked team) to 44 points!
Alas, time and asthma has ended all that decades ago.

Haven't played a pickup game on a court since my son was in OSU 10 years ago....I have a hoop in the driveway I shoot from time to time and my son has a nice hoop in his driveway but no contact hoops since I was in my late 50s.....I play ping pong much more or badminton...speed minton...tennis. My knees can''t take running on a basketball court anymore.

I haven’t played since my mid-40’s and I’m 64 now. I was pretty good though.

When I met you, I could see it in your eyes.

It's the eyes, Mars......gotta be the eyes.

What's the "toughest" court/neighborhood in Portland to play pickup ball? I'm guessing somewhere near @THE HCP's home in NEP. I mean, doesn't he live near Damon's old stomping grounds?
