Do you turn down the volume when neighbors fight?

I know I do....I cant help it!

We have two nutbag families within my complex...One dude in his mid 30's is married with 3 kids, one of which isnt his....he hates life, its so obvious. She is a ugly nagging bitch which makes him go postal once a week. She yells at a 5 and 2 year old almost every morning once he leaves for work. You know what Im talking about, when a person yells a profanity so loud you can actually hear them going crazy in their voice...he did that this morning for 10 min...

...10 min after he went postal the other crazy family started. Their fight is always the mom and the 17 year old jailbait daughter. That jailbait is just as crazy as she is hot...the mom just seems to be clueless which adds to the fire. The daughter calls the mom a whore bitch at the top of her lungs...its quite amazing. They have been goin at it for 10 min now and I can hear them while writing this.

This kind of stuff makes me think marriage is for suckers who puss out and do it cause everybody else tells them they should

We've got a family who fights all the time in my neighborhood. The wife/mom has one of those loud ass voices that really carries. They live about 4 houses down the street behind my house and I can hear her as if she was in my own backyard. She cusses out her boyfriend/husband all the time. At first it was funny and rather entertaining, but now its just annoying and disrespectful to the other familys that live around them. My wife has actually called the cops on them a few times when its 1:00am and you get woke up by their bull shit drama. We've done some research and found out that they rent the house. We've thought about sending a letter to the people who own the house (their address is in California) and telling them about their tenants and how all the neighbors hate them. Not only do the fights/yelling piss me off, they also drive 45 mph down a residential street with their music "thumping".

none of my neighbors fight. i live in a building of studio apartments, so its usually just a bunch of single dudes chillin, smoking weed, drinking, etc.

The last apartment complex I lived in, the walls were thin and the neighbors were kind of shady.

There was a couple that lived upstairs and a door down. Our doors opened up into a shared courtyard, and this couple was REALLY yelling and screaming at one another. I was (naturally) on my computer and I couldn't make out words but it was loud enough that I poked my head out the door.

My neighbor next door was exiting her apartment with a baseball bat. She was a weird woman who seemed ... umm ... militantly masculine. Anyway, she marched upstairs and checked to ensure everything was all right, and that she would call the police if they didn't settle down.

Nothing was particularly violent or dangerous, but I was excited enough by this bit of city livin' that I blogged about it.

Fast forward about 8 months. I met a chick who lived across town and we went out for dinner and it was the woman part of the couple that used to fight in my apartment complex! I was able to provide her with a link to the blog entry and I thought it was a funny coincidence. She and I didn't work out, of course, so I never figured out which of them was the crazy one.

I've never had really thin walls, but the house next to me (those English terraced houses) was raided a couple of months ago. They found cocaine behind the extractor fan that goes above the oven. The cops came to our house the next day and asked if we had heard or seen anything suspicious - The funny thing is, I had never seen anybody in that house!
