So, according to David Aldridge on NBA.com, the Blazers are after Miller. Whether or not you believe him, would you like this to be true?

Meh ...

If they brought him in, I guess I'd get behind it, but this move doesn't make me feel better about our chances to make a run.

Yes, only as a FA.

I do not think Bayless is ready yet and a back-court of Miller\Blake would be cool in my book.

I love you JayBay but sorry, I want to win.

Maybe. Depends on who else is available and how much of a commitment it would be.

If the rumored 2 year deal is accurate, I'd be happy with acquiring him.

I voted for if we sign him as a free agent. But what I really want is for us to do a sign and trade with Outlaw. Assuming we sign him for the 6-7 type contracts similar players have received we'd still have four or five mil left to try and do something else.

I'd rather stand pat right now, and go after a trade at midseason to see what's available then. I'd even say I'd rather have Sessions than Miller.

Not my top choice (Sessions is my top choice, Odom second), but I'd rather have Miller than stand pat.

I said no on the poll, but my real opinion is that I would rather not get him, but wouldn't be completely opposed to it. I just hope they aren't making a move for the sake of making a move. Sometimes, standing put is better than executing plan Z or whatever plan they are on.

Ideally it will be a S&T.

Whichever of Outlaw or Blake that is still here after the S&T, should immediately be sent to NY for Lee.

but in all seriousness,

i vote yes, but only as a free agent. our cap space is worthless and i'd prefer not to lose any of the players for him.

Love the irony here. "We should use cap space on him, since cap space is useless."

I like him for 2-3 years. Guy can ball!

Yes to a sign and trade to preserve some cap room, because maybe, just maybe, there will be a trade KP would pull the trigger on at the deadline (hope springs eternal, what can I say).

No thanks. Miller won't make the team better.

Yeah I think that's our best bet. Next move is to trade Przybilla for Battier.

PG Miller/Bayless/Jeter
SG Roy/Rudy/Battier
SF Battier/Batum/Webster
PF LMA/Lee/Cunningham
C Oden/LMA/Lee/Pendergraph (Lee would only play C if we went really small for some reason or ridiculous fouls or injuries)

That's not my ideal starting off the summer but it's not HORRIBLE.

Edit: it would also leave a bit of caproom with Lee getting something like maybe 7 or 8 mil and us spending only $3 mill at worst for Lee.

Miller > Blake especially at finding players once he's in the paint. Oden will be MUCH better if we have Miller then if we have Blake. Maybe we will keep both and you can see for yourself which one makes Oden more effective.

That's about right. He's going to make us better, but by himself we aren't a contender. I would be much happier about the present and future if we were to acquire Ramon Sessions.

cap space is useless if we have to settle for someone. Miller isn't my prime target...maybe 3-4 years ago but right now he's just a vet PG (with crap playoff exp and losing records abound though)

Where do you send Rudy after he sees that he's slotted for 12 minutes a game......for ever.

If he'll sign for 1-3 years, I'll be excited for it. He's still an effective player than can rack up the assists and can shoot the free throw at a high percentage. His scoring ability is somewhat lacking in term of his outside shooting, but having a guy that can run the offense and get Greg and LaMarcus the ball will be well worth it.

If anything, he'll be a great stop gap until either Bayless takes over or we fill the void some other way. I'll go with yes for now. Even better if we can trade someone for him and still keep some cap room for later.

Miller is an improvement. If Aldridge/Oden improve next year, we can possibly contend with Miller, but I'd be MUCH happier with Sessions.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. It's ok as a stopgap, but Sessions would be better. If he is a stop gap we need to trick Memphis out of an unprotected top pick for next year. Brandon Wall anyone?
