Does the Comcast deal prohibit NBA League Pass from showing Blazers broadcasts?

Anyone know?

I live out of area and have DirecTV - it sucks, but I keep it so I can get NBA League Pass and see every Blazers game. In past years, usually, they showed the home team's broadcast (except nationally televised games; they always pre-empt local). This year, to date, every non-nationally telecast Blazers games, home or road, on NBA League Pass has used the other team's broadcast. I notice that for many games NBA League Pass offers both home and road team broadcasts so viewers can watch either, but not Blazers. Only the opponent. So I get interviews with their players and coaches and news on their team. But not Blazers.

At this point it can't be coincidence that they never use Blazers broadcast. Do I now have a reason to hate the Comcast deal?

I have noticed the same thing and it drives me nuts. Wish I had something to offer other than to agree that it sucks. I also live out of area and have yet to see a Blazer broadcast. I mean 7 games and no Blazer broadcasts. Its almost like they are trying to NOT to show them. I was really hoping that when I saw this tread title that someone knows why.

I'm in Virginia and I get to choose Home or Away announcers, but not always. It seems to be a random choice by the NBA and/or the Comcast Region.

I live in Houston and have league pass on Dish Network. I have seen 2 games broadcast by the Blazers so far. For me that is 2 outa 3 because of the 7 games only 3 have been eligable to be on league pass

1. Houston announcers Local broadcast for me
2. Denevr National
3. Houston announcers Local broadcast for me
4. OKC league pass broadcast by OKC announcers
5. Atlanta Blazer broadcasting
6. SA National
7. Minnesota Blazer broadcasting

Comcast is the fucking devil. I wouldn't be surprised at anything they do to screw a fan who doesn't buy their channel on their system. I'm not holding my breath on the online streaming deal.

Interesting, different broadcasts in different areas. I'm closer to Portland, after all, so they are closer to my home team. But in 5 non national games no Blazer broadcasts - I can't see that as just chance.

I have had NBALP for the past several years and I have yet to distinguish any particular pattern. I will say this year is different because they seem to be using much more of their channels--multiple showings of games, choices of home/away announcers, etc.

It's definitely not Comcast, as I have seen two CSNW broadcasts.

I now live up in BC, Canada.

I paid for the NBA League Pass Broadband for my computer. So far, I've seen all games that have not been blacked out due to Nationally Televised games - which I then watched on NBA TV.

Works great and I can also watch "archived" games! In fact, since I was busy yesterday with the family, I watched the archived game late last night!

No pattern or reason. No joke, some intern back in NYC flips a switch. Either home or visit feed. No conspiracy.

I have NBLP in Phoenix and so far I have watched 2 games broadcast by Mike & Mike, I have Cox Digital Cable.

1. Houston (Houston Announcers)
2. Denevr (ESPN)
3. Houston (Houston Announcers
4. OKC (Blazers Announcers)
5. Atlanta (Blazers Announcers)
6. SA (ESPN)
7. Minnesota (First half Wolves/Second half Blazers)

I remember last year a lot of games for me would switch at half time, which I didn't mind so much. It looks like I'm the only here who is getting that. It is really surprising to me that there seems to be this great of a broadcast variance w/NBALP

I watch NBA League Pass in New Jersey, and there are two changes this year that I really hate.

1) There is no channel showing a list of all the games that night, with the appropriate channel number. Last year I used this function a lot, since it told me where to go for the Blazer game so that I didn't have to flip through every channel to find it.

2) I don't get any of the local ads from the team that is broadcasting the games. For instance, when they're showing the Blazer broadcast, I don't see Les Schwab ads or any other ads from Portland. I just get a screen saying "We'll be back right away," or some such nonsense. The only ad I see during timeouts is the NBA League Pass ad, which plays about 100 times per game and makes you want to tear your hair out.

Anybody else experiencing these things?

I don't use #1, but #2 drives me nuts. I LOVE watching commercials from other areas, and especially places where I used to live. They changed it last year, but I also don't like the generic NBATV halftime show. I'd love to see the local halftime show.

I'm not. I get the whole Portland experience.

How do you determine which League Pass channel is going to be showing the Blazer game BEFORE the game begins? On my Comcast TV guide channel, they show all the League Pass channels saying "NBA game" or something like that, but nothing specific. I'd like to DVR some Blazer games this year, but I can't tell which channel will be showing the game!!

Aaargghh!! Is it just me, or is Comcast the worst piece of shit in the world?

Dish Network has the games listed on the channel they will be aired on.

I got Mike and Mike on Broadband from CLE. I've had them for the season opener, ATL, and MIN games.

I find "NBA Basketball" under the "search" function on the main menu. I then click on the clock which shows the times of the games. I scroll through until I find a Portland game.

When I go to channels 440-449 before the game (which are the Comcast channels dedicated to LP), it will tell you which channel your team will be on and whether or not it will be a home or away broadcast. If there is no (H) or (A) designation, then you don't have a choice. They will also tell you if it's broadcast in HD.

Agreed...

The commercial breaks seem to take FOREVER now. That stupid 20 second loop of music over and over and over.

Presumably they are thinking, eventually, of using that space for advertisers, but it's annoying to actually MISS commercials.

You know what would be cool, if we can find the IP address string of Comcast buildings and offices and block them from blazer message boards. A fight back..that would rock, is that doable at all?
