I'm starting to think of it the other way around. Since there's not much chance of any playoff run this year, and it's looking like even making the playoffs is going to be a stretch, I think it may be time to look to molding the roster for next year. If I were KP, I'd be looking at what did and didn't work prior to the major injuries and start pruning dead wood. Miller's not going to be a part of this team when it is ready to compete for a title. Blake's role needs to be cut to a backup or simply cut. Our SF position is woeful right now, but does KP see Batum as the longterm answer or does a move need to be made there? Outlaw's contract is done after this year. Unless he's really seen as a consistent 6th man, his ending contract should have some value. I'd make moves that fit with next year and beyond. Screw doing anything to try to shore up this season.
