My main interest in dogs died with my beloved Tonto when I was 12. That broke my heart like you wouldn't believe. I must have cried every day for over a month. My mother and my brother cried aloong with me. My father was divorced from my mother and living in Atlanta when it happened. Not quite sure where that pic was taken. It was in my Google pic archives. Thought it was funny, though. May as well have been taken in Portland. Bend has a pretty crazy July 4th dog parade. Y'oughta check it out sometime!
I remember my dog being in the Veterinary clinic at the West end of the Broadway bridge, I believe on Lovejoy street. I went there on my bike with a friend to visit my sick dog. The doctor was very nice and offered to let me back in the employee only area to visit my dog for as long as I'd like even though it was after closing hours. They must have seen the love between me and my beloved faithful companion. I thought he would get better but he had some sort of urinary tract problem from us feeding him salmon. Don't feed you dogs salmon.
You've never seen a little boy with a heart broken as bad as mine was when he died.
