The Yankees need a hitting coach..................just saying.

The idea of bringing Mattingly back as hitting coach is well beyond Cashman thought process.

Sometimes I just forget who's running things.
(sigh).........!Lets be realistic for a minute. He's not going to go from manager of the Dodgers to hitting coach of the New York Yankees.
...I do find it somewhat humorous how both parties spin the divorce...Don saying how great the organization is, and the Dodgers saying what a great job he did.
...if that were truly the case, he'd still be coach of the Dodgers...again, it's funny really.
Maybe it would be a step back but IMO Mattingly would do more for the game as a hitting coach then he would as a manager.

Lmao!

...Mattingly will not be the Yanx' hitting coach, why would he?....and the length of Pentland's contract is irrelevant...if he had done what he was hired to do he surely would have been retained and his contract would have been renewed, period.
...meanwhile, multiple Mets hitters are pointing to Long as being instrumental in their success.
...and many fans wanted Cashman gone before last year and then again after last year...and after this year's failure as well...funny how some think Cashman should not be held accountable and fired after multiple years of failure which many many people have pointed out...but suddenly 2016 is the real litmus test?
