National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was told they will lose federal funding if they don't remove all references to LGBTQ children from their web site and only refer to trans kids by their dead names.

Much better for children to be raped and killed than for gay and trans kids to get helped.
 
Bureau of Land Management ordered by President Musk to freeze hiring firefighters as they were preparing for summer fire season. The unqualified Musk intern in charge said you have to clean house and not having enough firefighters is "just one of those things".

As long as someone else's house is the one burning.

There not even trying to hide it anymore. Just straight out dismantling everything without care for our children, our security, or are safety.

And that's only 4 weeks in. Imagine what they will do in the other 204 weeks they have left.
 
I think the democrats should aggressively start promoting and campaigning for 2028. Someone younger representing the people with policies and appeal to the middle. A new voice that can be consistently heard scrutinizing trumps actions but with a positive message that resonates. It's going to take somewhat of a populist message thjatn will water down anything trump does.

Right now there really doesn't seem to be anyone on the horizon. Neither Newsome of Shiff is it....or even close to it. Maybe Shapiro? Ironically, the only one I could get enthusiastically behind at the moment is Adam Kinzinger. And despite his courage and ethics, he's still a Republican.......

They've got to find the right person and the right message. They have to make changes themselves and focus on the people or this shit will remain the same.

That is if the Republicans haven't found a way to fix the elections in the swing states already. If that's the case, we may never see a Dem as President again.

I think it's too early to anoint a front runner. (And BTW Newsom and Schiff) I do think Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer is in the mix.
See who emerges as a leader over the next couple of years.

All of us have at times been unkind. Done things we regret. Operative word being regret. Most of us don't want to do things that hurt others. Especially people who have done us no harm.

These people do want to hurt others. Seems to be the one thing that makes them happy.
