Politics Donald Trump Jr just confessed to Trump campaign election fraud

It's funny that those people who claim to want to "Make America Great Again" because it's become a cesspool under Obama, are now being forced to argue that colluding with hostile foreign governments for party political gain is "no big deal" and "it's okay because everybody does it".

Actually, it's kind of depressing.
Hillary would have been hung by the same people that are defending the Trump admin and that's a fucking fact they choose to ignore. Their hypocrisy knows absolutely no bounds. It's not depressing. It's disgusting.

Why and what is that every campaign looks for oppo research and dirt on their opponents.
but most stop after the opposition party has lost the election and move on
others continue to carry the dirt research out on a daily basis....like Trump does or in your case

This woman looks terribly Slavic, no doubt Russian. That right there should be a warning.

I didn't see anywhere in the emails that there was a reference to an offer to provide damaging info about Clinton, but Donald Jr. seems to admit that this was the case. The emails do confirm that the perception was that the person was a government lawyer for Russia. I don't really see how the emails help Donny Jr. so I am a little surprised he released them.
Well, here's page 4...

Blah blah blah... then you finally get it right on the last line.
My post was before I saw the page 4 sedated posted. This whole thing is dumber than I thought. It doesn't even make sense now.

1. Apparently the middle man between Putin and Trump is a music producer.

2. Instead of just releasing this Hillary info the Russian Government supposedly wanted to give to Trump to damage Hillary, they sent a woman lawyer.

I think the most accurate thing that's come from this story is people saying Jr is a moron.

None of it makes sense. None of it. What do they call it, catfish when someone scams someone online?

This looks like the same sort of thing. I wonder if they were going to try to sell Trump some fake stuff?

I honestly don't know what the hell these numbnuts were up to but anyone acting like they have a cut and dry explanation is jumping the gun.

I'm supposed to believe that Putin used an eccentric music producer to rig our election? Ok

Russia couldn't send a government official to Trump tower for risk of being seen. Using someone associated previously with Trump makes for a great cover.

Remember, when this story first came out DTjr denied ever meeting with anyone. No such meeting took place.

Then he said it had nothing to do with Hillary or the campaign.

The music producer is someone the Trump family knew. He was also someone who worked for Russians. It does actually make some sense to use him to make introductions.

DTjr interview one week after this meeting:

JAKE TAPPER: So, I don't know if you were hearing earlier, but Robby Mook, the campaign manager for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, I asked him about the DNC leak. And he suggested that experts are saying that Russians were behind both the leak — the hacking of the DNC emails and their release. He seemed to be suggesting that this is part of a plot to help Donald Trump and hurt Hillary Clinton. Your response?

TRUMP JR.: Well, it just goes to show you their exact moral compass. I mean, they will say anything to be able to win this. I mean, this is time and time again, lie after lie. You notice he won't say, “Well, I say this.” We hear “experts.”

You know, 'His house cat at home once said that this is what's happening with the Russians.' It's disgusting. It's so phony. I watched him bumble through the interview, I was able to hear it on audio a little bit. I mean, I can't think of bigger lies, but that exactly goes to show you what the DNC and what the Clinton camp will do. They will lie and do anything to win.

You hear it with the DNC where they're leaking emails about Bernie Sanders and his Jewish heritage, to be able to try to destroy him in the South. It's a rigged system. It's disgusting and the people who should be fed up because when I heard it I certainly was.

Assuming that this email exists, this interview is now damningly dishonest. Trump Jr. characterizes information that he himself received from Russian-tied sources as lies — innuendo made up by Mook's “house cat.” He even suggests he was taken aback by the ridiculousness of something he was apparently quite familiar with.

Later on in the interview, Trump Jr. even returned to the Russia rumors and continued to beat the drum that this was beyond the pale and that his father's campaign wouldn't engage in this kind of thing.

TAPPER: Lastly, Don, your speech obviously very well received and there are Republicans out there wondering if you might run for office someday yourself. It has even been raised a possible run against New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. Are these ideas that you're contemplating?

TRUMP JR.: You know, listen, I had a good time up there. It was exciting to be able to have a platform like that to speak my voice because as you can hear from this interview I'm really frustrated with what's going on in this country, Jake. And if I can do that one day I'd love to be able to do it for the people of this country. That's how I can pay back and give something back, I'd love to do it. But right now I'm more concerned about getting my father in there because I know that he will do a wonderful job with that. I know he's going to fight for the people.

You know, it's not going to be about signed (ph) by politics. It's not going to be about divisive politics and emails. You know, accusing people of working with the Russian government. It's not going to be about, you know, going against our opponents calling it a Jewish heritage and try to use that against them in the South.

Donald Trump and family members attend the 2013 Miss Universe competition in Moscow. The pageant, owned by Trump at the time, was sponsored by Aras Agalarov, a real estate developer. Following the pageant, Trump signed a deal with Agalarov to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, though the deal was stalled when Trump ran for president. Emin Agalrov is Aras's son and a pop star in Russia.

Goldstone said the information "would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father."

He continued: "This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump — helped along by Aras and Ermin."

Minutes later, Trump Jr. responded: “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”

June 6, 2016
Goldstone emails Trump Jr. asking him when he is available to speak over the phone "about this Hillary info."

Kushner accepts a job in the new administration as a White House adviser. He is cleared to take it on Jan. 21. As part of security clearance, he is required to report meetings with foreign officials such as the one with Veselnitskaya.

July 8, 2017
The New York Times first reports the previously undisclosed meeting between Trump Jr., Kushner, Manafort and Veselnitskaya. The Times reported that Trump Jr. told them in a statement the meeting was “primarily about an adoption program. The statement did not address whether the presidential campaign was discussed.”

July 9, 2017
The Times reports the presidential campaign was a topic of the meeting. The article cited five sources who stated Trump Jr. agreed to the meeting on the premise that damaging information on Hillary Clinton would be provided.

Following the article, Trump Jr. confirmed he agreed to the meeting because of the information on Clinton, though the information provided was not useful and the meeting was actually about adoption: “It became clear to me that this was the true agenda all along and that the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting,” Trump Jr. stated.

July 10, 2017
The Washington Post reports the meeting was arranged at the request Emin Agalrov by Goldstone.

Later that evening, the Times reports Goldstone presented the meeting in an email to Trump Jr. promising information on Clinton. According to the article, Trump Jr. did not indicate he believed Veselnitskaya was connected to the Russian government — something she has denied.

July 11, 2017
Donald Trump Jr. posts screenshots of the emails between him and Goldstone on Twitter. He also includes a statement saying he believed the meeting would be about "Political Opposition Research" and originally wanted to have the meeting over the phone.

"To put this in context," Trump Jr. stated, "this occurred before the current Russian fever was in vogue."

They didn't have to send anyone. Russia could have released damning info about Hillary whenever they wanted.

There's obviously some dirty shit that went down but it looks like Trump got tricked by someone into thinking he had dirt on Hillary.

That would explain the June 13th 2016 Hillary speech Trump was going to give being cancelled.

Maybe Trump really thought Putin was helping Hillary? The Trumps don't seem too bright. The nightly twitter barf is exhibit one.

If you want to blackmail Trump, sure. This guy needs to be here yesterday. What did they call that, rendition?

Remember Manafort is a lawyer and political campaign consultant. He clearly knew this meeting was wrong for a variety of reasons.

Trump on June 7th. (Click play, video cued to place where Trump says he's getting info the expose Hillary. )

That's the thing, if it was just Don Ralphio trying to kids up to dad and surprise him with stuff on Hillary that would be one thing.

This is just another thing that doesn't make sense. Why would he go? Is there proof other than the emails saying he'd be there?

They wanted everyone to be involved so nobody would squeal? Sounds like a lifetime mob movie.

That June 7th speech has to make you cringe if you are a Trump fan... I mean where was this information coming from??? The timing's not good.

Especially with Ivanka standing right there. I'm sure she didn't tell her dad what her brother and husband were doing, lol.

I smell hair burning. Anyone know what crime set the hair on fire?

One piece of the puzzle might be a little clearer on the "why" question. Apparently, Trump was in discussions with Agalarov about building a Trump hotel. Apparently the U.S. sanctions in the wake of the Crimea invasion might have softened the Russian economy to make moving forward on the deal problematic.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...is-election-would-be-an-amazing-breakthrough/

Aras Agalarov has sometimes been called the “Donald Trump of Russia,” and the two men talked about building a Trump Tower on a muddy field that is part of the Crocus City complex. The plans fizzled following Russia’s economic crash after Western sanctions were imposed in 2014.

The motive being one of profit for Trump: Lift the sanctions and help yourself, by helping your Russian Billionaire business associate build a Trump Hotel.

I smell hair burning. Anyone know what crime set the hair on fire?

My hair is actually very nicely combed today, so no flame here. I think the crime that is being investigated is in regards to U.S. Criminal Code, Title 18, section 1001. I am no lawyer and am not privy to any evidence that Donald Jr didn't release on twitter though.
