Don’t Expect RJ High Scoring to Continue But He’s “Legit All-Star”

Anyone who says RJ is one-dimensional doesn't know what they're talking about. End of story.

That's a lie.

This, coming from a person who watched him a whole season in college. He was most definitely not one-dimensional.

Richard Jefferson is not one-dimensional, either. This, coming from multiple fans who have been watching nearly every Nets game this season.

Where are you from, vcTmac24? Have you been watching RJ all this season..?</div>
i've watched him in several games about 15 How is he not one-dimensional in proof of stats and in game he seems pretty one-dimensional. Melo has been one-dimensional in the past years and even barkley called Melo one-dimensional

but i'd like to hear your debate instead of your love for RJ.

Barkley makes alot of dumb statements. He also said last season that the Nets were gonna be EC champs. And this season as well. Don't ever use him as a source in proving something you say to be right. Just because Charles Barkley said it, doesn't make it right.

Carmelo has had a double double in 5 of the past 6 games. Really one dimensional there. He's also averaging 3.6 apg. He regularly got double doubles in college. He led his team to a freakin championship. Last time I checked, one-dimensional players don't do that.

Carmelo is averaging 6.7 rpg. Is that one-dimensional? Really, Listen to cpaw. He's trying to make a point, and you're ignoring his question.

And with RJ, have you watched him play? Not only is he an efficient scorer, he gets to line, and he creates for his teammates. Also, his defense, although slightly inconsistent this season, has always been very good sans injury. He has the ability to shut down a guy when going one-on-one.

dammit dammit dammit I was totally googling pictures for luke walton before I made it over to page 4 and saw that KC beat me to it.

That's because he has his own database of shirtless players he can call up at a moment's notice.

You never had a chance.

Barkley is a one-dimensional player because all he can do is be a tv analyst. He's not doing anything else on the court which is supported by the fact that he is currently averaging 0.0 points 0.0 rebounds and 0.0 assists in the NBA kthanksbye

Wow...I think you're right.

There are always guys that play like all-stars and don't make the team, but they have mostly been relegated to the West.

It's a bit hard to predict how the teams will shape up. I guess this month will clear everything up.

Watch this.

Emeka Okafor.

Ron Burgundy: Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch.
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron Burgundy: I saw that. Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

My IQ dropped a little when I read RJ is "one dimensional"

It dropped even lower when I read that there is more than one definition to being "one-dimensional"

RJ def is not a one-dimensional player. this is what happens when people rely on stats instead of watching games. let's not forget that we have more rebounders this year, with josh and sean mainly.

RJ won't be voted in by the fans because its a popularity vote, but coaches around the east know the improvement in RJ's game and i really believe he will make it. then again if vince and kidd made it (which looks like it), then i think that could hurt RJ. have 3 guys from one team who's currently around .500?

one-dimensional players are like marbury, nash, korver, ben wallace. RJ does not fit in with this group</div>
WTF, NASH?

Nash can score and make plays Not one-dimensional at all. Jefferson is because he can only score. Unless you feel like a pure jump shooter is one-dimensional then no Jefferson isn't. But Jefferson has only been one-dimensional this season because all he's been able to is score.
</div>

wait, so your saying NASH is NOT a one dimensional player? the dude is all O and no D. its not a secret or anything. nash talks about them needing to improve their defense, but thats like jason collins calling his teammates out saying we need more O when he cant score.

its that nash has found the perfect system for him with the perfect cast where he can max out his main ability and that is running an offense. RJ on the other hand scores and defends the teams best wing for the majority of the game. sorry, if you watch games you can see that RJ is not just a scorer. sorry

Do you know how many one-dimensional players there would be if being only good at Offense means one-dimensional?

Here are the players that would be one-dimensional
Lebron, Melo, Bosh, Shaq, Ray Allen, Nash, Dirk, Amare, and it goes on.

I have a dilema. I want to say that Lebron, Bosh, Amare...hell even Shaq previously to this year, can get it done on defense, too. However I also don't want to acknowledge your argument or existence in this thread.

hmm....

lebron is terrible on defense. Shaq and Amare don't even try.

Look at all these homers, just defending there lovers.

I'm interested to hear your definition of a "one dimensional player". To me, a "one dimensional player" is a one-trick pony. I think you have a different definition of the term (nothing wrong with that at all, though)...because I believe that he can do multiple things: shoot great, run the offense, be a leader, and just take over games.

To me, a "one dimensional player" would be someone like...Kyle Korver, Reggie Evans, Salim Stoudamire, etc.
