Investors always want a stimulus package. It's like saying "this month, teenagers want sex".

Are you calling me a teenager?

I'm sure they do. They always want that. It's actually what Obama wanted, too. We need work on our infrastructure, roads, bridges, tunnels, airports, railroads and so on.

This will probably be directed towards sick leave or the use of unemployment insurance.

Money to airlines, gas companies, the usual.

Yeah, that's what Trump is proposing.
Actually sick leave ought to be a national law. Without it, people surviving on a subsistence wage cannot afford to miss work just because they've got the measles or bubonic plague. Cut their wages if you have to but give them a reason to stay home when they're sick. This will protect their coworkers from getting an infection passed on to them. Then, do like Tektronix did, give them incentive to not take sick leave whenever they need a vacation. Tek used to grant people half their hourly wage for any unused sick time whenever they left the company or retired.

If the goo fits...

I've always thought of myself as a simple horny old man and now I have to go through my teen years all over again. Do you realize you are subjecting me to acne breakouts and an awkwardness around women? What if I don't want to emulate you?

Resistance is futile.

Dems trying to push their UBI and suppression of conservative thought still!

Did we ever reach serfdom? We were on the road to it, in 2008, I seem to recall.

Well, we almost reached the Emerald City. We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge monkeys, all swooping and screeching and diving around us, and a voice was screaming: Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

Dow Jones is gonna get creamed in the AM. The europe ban will not be reacted to well. As is the NBA cancellation and Tom Hanks catching it.

Trump took us off that path for the most part.

So you're saying 8 years (you know, the maximum) of a President can't possibly result in serfdom? If only young Xericx had known that, might have saved him some angst.

What was the relevance of the attached pages? You had your pay centrally planned by the government, prior to Trump? I'd probably need proof of that to believe it.

What planned sports were you forced into?

It's a road.

We havent gotten to many of the ideas....yet, such as the Universal Basic Income.

But they are in the sights of young democratic socialists and what not.

Freefall again. For all of Trumps bluster we might end up lower than when he took over very soon.

Most likely, a case of deaf ears and/or wrong frequency....probably both.

and still about 6,000 lower than less than a month ago. :smiley-hmm:

You buy the dip.

If we get through this relatively painlessly, the market may recover or be above the high. Lots of "stimulus" to "make things right". I dont personally agree with it, but you leave emotions at the door.

I expect some kind of airline, cruise and hotel bailout.

Numbers may get worse but hopefully we are equipped to handle it. If so, the market should do well.
