I think we're trading up to #8 with the Knicks for Collins. #15, #20 and Harkless to the Knicks for Collins.

I'd be upset with that... way too much to give up for a guy like him.

Pretty heavy price, but if you believe in Collins, it's probably worth it. We're essentially turning Plumlee and Hark into a top 10 pick. Here's my question; does Collins fit next to Nurkic? If not, Markkanen might be a better target. If we're giving up that much, it should be for a starter.

I believe Collins will be an all-star calibur player for years to come. You're essentially giving up #20 and Harkless for that, and we need to cut salary anyway.

Markkanen reminds me too much of Leonard. He's soft. Collins is a feisty, aggressive, and plays with an edge. He can hit the outside shot, but it's not his go to. He's also a good interior defender. I'm sick of soft PFs.

I also bet that we're going to trade Ed Davis for a late 1st or future pick as a salary cap shed.

I don't know about the Leonard comp for Markkanen. Actually I definitely don't agree with it. Markkanen is a multi dimensional scorer and a more fluid athlete than Leonard. He can actually move laterally. While Leonard is soft, Markkanen is just weak. That can be fixed.

20. Harry Giles [Even in a good draft, at 20 you're no longer looking at very much expected value. Best to take a shot on upside--low risk/high reward]
26. Semi Ojeleye [Another guy who could swing between either forward spot. Players who can be big small forwards or smallball power forwards are match-up gold]

I too expect Ed Davis to be traded in one form or another. Either part of a bigger deal or by himself for a second rounder...

DX updates their mock like every few hours. Earlier today they had Giles going 17 and now he's 23....

I'm well and truly in the trade up camp. Package 15/20 and maybe Harkless to get as high as we can, hopefully to 8. If Isaac is there, praise God, if he's not you've probably got a shot at Markkanen and Z.Collins. That's a win.

Grab a prospect that needs plenty of development, but has potential at 26. Hartenstein, Bolden, guys like that.

We will not keep all our picks
A lot of us will be very mad/puzzled/disappointed by the end.
However, by the time of Summer League we will be excited again.
Then, after Summer League, we'll be disappointed again.
