LOL, nice reply, mornin gents, the rumors keep flyin like they will till draft day, Drummond at #2?
Drummond looked pretty damn good in the Sac workout I saw. The good thig is, if we keep the #6 pick, I am comfortable with 7 players. Not that I know anything. I thought Roy would be a very average NBA player, and wanted Gay instead
agree with that, someone good will be available, what's interesting is if Char did draft Drummond at #2 where does Trob fall to?
Drummond and Waiters, That's whay I want
Not that i has anything to do with what will actually happen, but draftexpress.com has updated their mock draft and now have us taking Drummond at 6 and Waiters at 11.

FWIW, today's SF Chronicle reports Warriors interested in Drummond at #7.
Can't imagine a scenario where he lasts until 7. If he is still on the board at 6, do we trade back a pick and add some assets
No, if Drummond is available at 6 we take him and count our blessings. He would be BPA and fill a need. You can't ask for more with the 6th pick.

I agree, but playing Devil's advocate, is Drummond more valuable than say Lillard and #30? Or Lillard and Brandon Rush?

I guess it depends on how good you think Lilliard is going to be. Personally I think he's going to struggle making the transition from Tiny Weber St. to the NBA and becoming a capable setup man vs. being the entire focal point of his team's offense. Throwing in the 30th pick just means a crack at a player who is unlikely to ever be much more than bench fodder. Drummond scares the hell out of me too, but at least he has the physical tools to maybe become something truly dominant.
Lillard was an example only
Fair enough. But is there anybody else likely to be on the board with as much "room" to get better? Using the tiered ranking system, I think 6 is right about where things fall off.
I'll take BPA (Drummond) over his runner-up plus a scrub/long shot. Quality over quantity.I agree, but playing Devil's advocate, is Drummond more valuable than say Lillard and #30? Or Lillard and Brandon Rush?

I think it's going to end up around 9 or so, honestly
Davis
Robinson
Drummond
MKG
Beal
Barnes
Lillard
Rivers
Ross
Will all show they belong no worse than the 5-6 range
Lillard
Rivers
Ross
are all clearly in the next tier down IMO.

No, moo it's a moo point. Like a cow's opinion, it doesn't matter.
