If you look at the draft, there was an uncharacteristic slew of excellent choices RIGHT BEFORE we picked Nas. We probably thought we were going to get at least one of them, so Nas was sort of a consolation.

I mean, I think we'd all LOVE to have taken Thybulle, Clark, Bazley and possibly even Williams over Nas, but they were gone. Is there an obviously better player than Nas picked later?
Candidates:
Eric Paschall at 41 (but his defense is very suspect, and would Nas look good if he'd had the minutes available that Paschall did?)
Bol Bol at 44. This is probably the one that hurts the most. Perhaps in the old days Paul would've ponied up the money to buy at second rounder and we could've had him.

Tankothon has us picking at 16Several mock drafts show us picking at 14 as it appears the standings for draft might have been frozen when the league was postponed. Seems the best way since not all teams were in Orlando and not all teams played the same amount of games. If true, nice to have the 14th pick and a good chance to make the playoffs also.
I like Williams a lot but I a lot mock he is between 13-23.If it turns out to be really cheap to trade up a bit, I wouldnt mind picking Okoro or Patrick Williams.

We need a PG, SF, or C that can contribute off the bench day 1, badly. Idc about upside I want playability.
Then move the pick, we have plenty of young players rn. I just want a player who we can rely on to be consistent. That’s the exact opposite of what they should be doing. The draft is not where a playoff team should be looking for role players for the following season.

Phooey. I would rather package the pick with Collins, Simons, and Little in the hope of getting one decent player. The Blazers are a 35 win team with a horrible bench. We can't afford to keep wasting draft picks and roster spots on noncontributors.

It's funny that we've just SQUEAKED into the playoffs with a string of amazing games... and you guys are focused on the draft.

I actually know Kenny Carr's son. He ain't a basketball player though. He is in great shape but i don't think he would be interested.Gary Trent Jr has worked well. Any other former Blazers have kids we should look to draft?

I wouldnt mind a Monk + Washington + McDaniels (or defensive Martin twin) for Zach + Ant + Little. I like Nas and Ant's upside, but Wahsington is just too perfect a fit and McDaniels would be interesting too. Charlotte has little reason to bite though.
