Trump's shockingly honest approach to Putin

(CNN)The 2016 election was not rigged by Moscow. Rex Tillerson, tipped to be the next secretary of state, is not a KGB agent.

Donald Trump is, however, trying to reset US policy toward Russia to begin a constructive dialogue. For this, he ought to be applauded. Instead, he is almost accused of treachery. The situation is surreal.
What do the butt hurt want, war?

preparation H more than likely....you should know ...I've seen your online dictionary with the green checkmark!

There are millions of Clinton voters who are not butt hurt. They've realized Trump won and there's nothing they can do about it. They're maybe unhappy about that, but they're not ranting and raving and going off the rails with all kinds of absurd conspiracy theories.

Thank Christ we didn't elect Hillary Clinton - she gave SPEECHES to Goldman Sachs!!

Instead, we have a cabinet full of ACTUAL Goldman Sachs people. Much better!

Citibank picked all but 2 members of Obama's cabinet, before he was even elected (rigged election???).

Trump recruits army of chief executives to battle with the system in Washington

By Karen Tumulty December 14 at 7:00 AM

President-elect Donald Trump is stocking the upper echelons of his administration with more than the usual share of business titans like himself, betting the success of his presidency on the idea that a clash of cultures is needed to fix the mess in Washington and bring order to international affairs.

The question is whether those who promise to bring a corporate mind-set to governance will change the system or be run over by it.

They don't have to be blue collar. They have to do the Peoples' work.

We want our government officials to be successful in whatever endeavors.

Electors under siege
Members of the Electoral College votes have been inundated by harassing phone calls and hate mail. Many report receiving death threats.

In two days, members of the Electoral College will cast their historic votes for the next president of the United States. In the meantime, they are under siege.

The nation’s 538 presidential electors have been thrust into the political foreground like never before in American history. In the aftermath of a uniquely polarizing presidential contest, the once-anonymous electors are squarely in the spotlight, targeted by death threats, harassing phone calls and reams of hate mail. One Texas Republican elector said he’s been bombarded with more than 200,000 emails.

“I never can imagine harassing people like this. It’s just f----- up,” said Jim Rhoades, a Republican elector from Michigan who runs a home inspection service. “I’ve lost a bunch of business.”

In recent decades, the Electoral College had become such a reliable rubber stamp of Election Day results that it was viewed as an afterthought.

But with many Democrats desperate to block the all-but-certain ascension of Donald Trump to the White House, this long-neglected body has been gripped by turmoil, and its members have been subjected to pleas to upend centuries of tradition by casting their votes for someone other than the president-elect.

Trump builds team of bosses to shake up Washington

With more than 20 nominees now selected, Donald Trump’s cabinet appears much like the president-elect himself: mostly older, white males, many of them wealthy, who see themselves as risk-takers and deal-makers and prize action over deliberation.

Trump, who says Washington is "broken" and controlled by special interests, has largely eschewed technocrats with long government experience. Instead, he has built a team of bosses.

Trump's roster of agency heads and advisers conspicuously lacks intellectuals, lawyers, and academics of the sort sought by some past presidents. In their place are titans of business and finance from the likes of Exxon Mobil and Goldman Sachs and no fewer than three retired generals in key positions.

TRUMP'S CABINET SELECTIONS SIGNAL A BOLD SHIFT AFTER OBAMA

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Propelled by populist energy, President-elect Donald Trump's candidacy broke long-standing conventions and his incoming Cabinet embodies a sharp turn from the outgoing Obama administration.

Trump, a Republican who pledged major changes after eight years of a Democratic White House, has assembled nominees for a Cabinet that includes many business executives who have never served in government, and military leaders are in line to oversee defense and homeland security. In one case, Trump has named someone who once called for dismantling the agency he'd lead.

Rich implies success, exceptionalism
sometimes....or sometimes it's the after effect of tyranny or thievery..other times inbred inheritance...folks win the lottery...get a gold record...not all gold records were .....exceptional...let's just say....some folks truly build wealth with their own talents and ambitions....there's not just one get rich pathway

It's refreshing for a change to see SUCCESSFUL people in charge vs. academics.

You can't "drain the swamp" by hiring more of the same ol' same ol'.

None of these guys won a lottery. Most have run very large organizations in an executive, or understand what writing really big checks means.
