Harrison Barnes is likely a RFA next summer. GsW may not be able to match another large contract. He also could be had at the trade deadline.

I'd take a look at Tony Wroten, but I don't know his injury details, or what his status is in Philly. They are kind of like us in the sense that they have a lot of young talent which they are sitting and waiting to see if its a fit in the league/their system. Maybe we end up seeing some player swaps with a team like Philly. I wouldn't mind if Farmer Olshey gave them a good milking. His other cows "Charlotte" and "Brooklyn" are milked dry.
Tony Wroten is the nothing like those 3...

Drummond is a beast, the next big Center in the NBA, maybe even better than Boogie. He's amazingly strong and athletic, almost a slimmer Shaq. He isn't as effective and probably never would be but he is a beast.

If my Seahawks vs 49ers game thread gets moved to the OT forum than so should this. This has nothing to do with the Blazers.
I agree your football thread should not have been moved to the OT forum.

It should have been moved to a football forum.

I have nothing against you wanting to talk about that game with guys you talk to every day about sports -- IOW our little S2 community. In fact I feel a little bad your fun was spoiled.

The problem is that if every football fan on this forum posted their favorite team's or alma mater's game threads here, there would be 20 football threads a week on the RipCityTwo main page. I think you can see how that could be a problem.

Now that I think about it, the OT Forum was a nice compromise. You still got to talk about the game with your best buddies from RipCityTwo. And isn't that what really matters?

You're right, hes also not like them in the sense that we might be able to get him.
I wasnt saying we could go out and get those types, someone said we need one more special player like Lillard and that's the type that would help us more than anything else.

I hope we don't go after him, don't like his "game;" from what I've seen of him, he doesn't look like a winner/leader (not saying he'd replace Dame but he's got to fit our culture/chemistry & I don't think he does) & don't think he'd make our team better w/ his empty/individual stats accumulation.

This thread is in the OT subsection of the Blazers Forum. It is about a possibility of going after a potential player. We make threads like this all the time. So do you.

What he also proved that players that come from a small college can succeed as much as players from a big college. Just like hopefully CJ McCollum will as well, which is looking pretty good for this year.

I don't know if this post is meant to tell me what Lillard proved or give me hope for CJ...

So I guess I'll respond with history.
Lillard proved he can come from one sure, but he wasn't the one who "proved" it.
Unless you're forgetting about players such as Bird, Robinson, Curry, Parish, or Gervin... To name a few.

Per Zach Lowe: "They needed talent; they would figure out the rest later. The figuring it out part has been harder than expected, especially with both Jackson and Drummond plateauing. Detroit has quietly explored the trade market for each of its franchise centerpieces, according to sources across the league, and come away disappointed with the potential return. (Van Gundy himself has said anyone is available for "the right price.")

Any Drummond deal at the deadline is an extreme long shot, but Jackson remains in play for Minnesota, Orlando, New Orleans, or some mystery destination. Even if Detroit keeps him, missing the playoffs would put dramatic changes on the table this summer
."

Should the Blazers be considering a McCollum for Drummond swap? Would the Pistons consider it? Makes sense for both teams - Pistons get a legit star in the making in McCollum and the Blazers get their COTF. Thoughts?

Can't see the Pistons swapping Drummond for CJ. KCP is nothing like the scorer CJ is, but he's ten times the defender and CJ is too similar to Reggie Jackson.
I doubt they'd even do it for Lillard (unless they could also line up a Reggie Jackson trade, like this)
