Crazy! Wonder what the new top 5 looks like

Alabama
Oregon
South Carolina
Kansas st? Seems too high
West Virginia, or does Flordia shoot up? Even NOtre dame

I think ND & Florida move into the top 5.

Bama, Oregon, SC, Florida, WV, K-St, ND

I'd guess

Don't see why ND would go ahead of WV, who was higher ranked and beat a ranked team.

Because Notre Dame, regardless of special treatment, looks like a better team.

It's questionable as to whether or not WVU even has a defense. Meanwhile, Notre Dame might have the best defense in the country. They just held one of the NCAA's most dangerous offenses to 3 pts tonight in a highly contested rivalry game (Miami was 4-1, averaging 41.3 pts in their last three games, and with their only loss to K-State). Notre Dame also held Michigan and Michigan State (on the Road) to 6 and 3 points, respectively.

I'm from SEC country, but I'll call it like I see it, and after watching their last five games, I'd say this Notre Dame team is legitimate. The only thing that's working against them right now is their schedule. How many teams do you know that have already played two ranked teams and now face a game against a likely top 15 team (Stanford) next week, followed up by two road games against likely top ten teams (Oklahoma and USC)? Their nights off are against teams like BYU and Pitt. Their schedule is just brutal.

(Also, count me in on the Te'o for Heisman bandwagon... utterly dominant tonight and has been all season).

Solid win. The defense played great, and the offense is starting to find a rhythm. Always fun to beat up on the Fuskies.

I will say this, if we are blessed enough to go back to the Natty, it will be our defense that makes the difference. This is one of the best defensive Duck teams I've ever seen. Put that with our usual explosive offense and that could very well make us Champs. Too early to tell though. Still a LOT of season left to play.

This question is very premature. However, it makes for good conversation, so...

If we have:

Alabama - 13-0
Oregon - 13-0
Notre Dame - 12-0

Who makes it to the BCS title game?

We're sure having problems early in games this year.

yeah... big problems. ESPN put up a stat that going into this game Oregon has outscored their opponents something like 125-19 in the 1st quarter this season. They built on that tonight

Including games against Arkansas State, Fresno State, Tennessee Tech, and Wazzu. Yay stats!

spin this one NOVodoo. In every home Pac 10/12 game that Kelly has been HC at Oregon they've scored at least 35 points

yeah stats! indeed

Well, I expected a big loss, but not that bad. I do think that if we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot with the muffed punt and the horrible pick 6 it would have been a lot closer (until the 4th when you would have broken it open). I'm not sue what the reason is, but Price has regressed this year. It might be that he just thinks he's going to get hit every snap, but last year he was much more accurate on those quick slant type routs. He was missing guys by yards or throwing to ASJ at his ankles. Hopefully he gets it together the rest of the season.

I think next week against USC will be tough for us and it probably goes their way, but OSU still looks like a win to me. After the USC game I think we can win out and finish the season with 3 losses (or 4 if we lose the bowl game).

Oh, and it had no bearing on the outcome, but the decision on the 2 fumbles (one for each team) was bullshit. On yours, they blew the whistle well after the ball was loose. On ours, our guy was clearly stopped before he fumbled. Either they both should have been ruled fumbles or neither. But, it didn't really matter so i can't be too mad at the calls.

I'll root for UO from here on out. I really want to see you guys matched up against Alabama. I think since last year against LSU you've gotten a lot better against the physical nature of the SEC and could pull it out. Plus, we could hear Saban whine some more about the hurry up offense.

Fun game to be at, and it was hilarious to watch the UW players throw up the "O" after they would make a play while down 35-7. I have no idea what they were thinking, but they kept talking trash and hitting late even when they were getting their ass kicked.

9 in a row, and the way their fans were woofing before the game (good-naturedly, it was kind of cute, except for a few angry drunks) made it all the sweeter as they saw their beloved Dawgs lay a gigantic turd on the Autzen turf.

I liked the uni combination the Ducks had last night. My favorite so far.

I also don't get Price. He has a live arm. Maybe it's his big windup, but he missed too many open receivers.

I too was at this game and I like what Howie Long said the most.... He said in warmups, on the sidelines he watched the Huskies looking at our Ducks in awe! He said he knew before the kickoff had even happened the game was over!!

BTW- outside of the beatdown for the puppies.... could you have asked for a better day for college football than Sat in AUTZEN? Perfect DAY!!!!!!

I'm still a little bitter over Shaq Thompson going to UW. I think he would have been great here.

One day it will come out that Tosh handed Shaq 50k on Toshes new "I'm a shitty Dline coach/ secretly just a recruiter" salary bump to come to the Fuskies with him from Cal Berkley and all those Puppies barking about how we paid 25k over three years for running back services will have to wear that badge of shame pinned right next to their decade of losses to the OOOOOO!

I don't think Tosh or Sirmon are "secretly recruiters"
"Recruiter of the Year 2010" and Finalist 2012

ESPN said:
Thirty-year-old Tosh Lupoi, born and bred a Cal Bear and arguably the top-recruiting assistant coach on the West Coast, bolted Berkeley on Monday for Washington -- a huge blow, 15 days before signing day, to 10th-year coach Jeff Tedford and a landscape-altering move in the Pac-12.

CBS said:
Sirmon, who was Wilcox's roommate at Oregon, is known as a terrific recruiter and will replace fired linebackers coach Mike Cox on the Huskies' staff

If he did pay them, I'm sure it'll come out. As it is, he quoted that graduation rate was important to him, and UO graduates only 41% of its black athletes. :dunno:
