lol. Late in the 2nd half during this absolute blowout/laugher it occurred to me...what in the world will they have to complain about on the board this time? Besides having a "piece of shit" as a kicker & posters who won't post, apparently the new head coach is showing all sorts of questionable judgement including not using his stud TE enough enough vs Cupcake U in a landslide W featuring the most yards by Oregon in the history of the program

It just proves the old adage...

We shouldn't expect for the ducks to really show anything this game but not using colt enough is not something new and you can say "well its an easy win we will save him for when we really need him", well that was said all last year and when he would have worked out great vs stanford last year Chip still failed to use him.
The Ducks have a new HC but he was here last year and even though its one easy opponent ill still point out I'm worried colt will be what Vernon Davis is in SF. An elite TE who is used to block 90% of the time instead of being used as the offense force he could be.

if I were to complain about anything from this game, I'd point to Marcus not being on point throwing the ball. That was also the case in the Stanford game as he was spraying it all over missing open receivers going 21-37. As per usual, Oregon's offense spread the ball around in the air and got the ball to Colt 4 times which was tied for 2nd on the team behind Lowe with 5 catches... I wouldn't call that failure to use him. 37 pass attempts indicates that Chip was using the passing game, Mariota just wasn't executing.

I prefer the spread the touches around/take what the D gives you approach as it makes the team better and harder to defend. Colt has been great... I'm glad he and his teammates seem to embrace putting team success above individual stats. I hope they continue to play that way and recruit kids who'll fit into a team first culture.

Getting back to Colt....

I really don't hear him complaining. He's the starting TE on a very good team. He blocks, catches passes, runs with the ball.... It's not like he's our featured player on a crummy team. I mean, I get it you want him catching 8-12 passes per game but that just isn't going to happen. We're a t-e-a-m first and I think he gets that.

I agree we should give Colt more touches. He could be the best TE in the country if given the opportunity.

I only got to watch the 1st quarter. How did Balducci look?

NFL scouts know about Colt. If he were at a small time school, and not getting many touches, he might be a gem in a late round draft, but Oregon is one of the top teams in the nation, and even the announcers mention how he's one of the best TEs in the nation. So you don't think NFL scouts are aware of that?

I agree he could be used a lot more though....but better for him if he doesn't have to take as many hits catching the ball over the middle. I hope the 49ers get him!

That's what I thought last year, but it never happened. He was an afterthought last season and it appears we will be seeing more of the same this year.

Oh for crying out loud, it's only been one game!

Now if after 3 games he has only 4 catches, then maybe we can talk about it.
