Durant to GSW

Adam Silver is a complete failure.

I won't be able to watch the Oracle Mega Circle Jerk next year, i just can't do it. Do any of you realize how obnoxious the GS Moving Screens and their fans are going to be? we're talking Steph,Klay and Durat dancing with each other while taking endless amount of threes.

No more NBA for me, this is too much. I rather follow the Champions League instead.

They will never get called for a foul again

Huh. From what people have said about Westbrook over the years, you'd think the consensus would be that this is what he's always dreamed of.

You're probably right. Actually, the biggest loser is probably this guy:

My hope is that Silver isn't a huge fan of this and tells the refs not to give the Warriors any special treatment.

They gave them special treatment last year.

How exactly will they stop doing that when they get a top 5 player?

My only hope is that Durant stews and becomes a cancer in their locker room after people only talk about Steph and wonder why his numbers have gone down.

How much could he possibly average in a lineup with Steph/Klay/Draymond?

Doubt that will be much of a problem. I could see the Warriors upping their average team score to 135 ppg with that lineup. Plenty of points to go around.

The Mavs offseason is hilariously bad.

Max Barnes.

Potentially trade for an aging/injured Bogut.

Welcome to the 8th seed Dallas!

thread already tl;dr, but....

1) I'm happy about this. Yes, I dislike OKC/Bennett that much.

2) Bogut or other castoffs?

3) No one should be surprised, so outraged is a little strange This type of thing is the logical conclusion of the salary cap going up so much, so quickly.

4) A little surprised he picked GS, Boston was more logical from a team composition POV, but I understand wanting to play with the team with the best record in history.

5) This backs up my notion that great players biggest concern is legacy.

Yeah EVERY other GM in the league needs to block the Warriors call so they cannot trade Bogut specially the Blazers.

Right...if they can't make room, they can't sign durant

While they'll start all four, they'll probably stagger minutes a lot so that all four aren't playing together all game long. Outside of enhanced death lineup minutes, they'll probably aim for keeping three out of Green/Durant/Curry/Thompson on the floor at all times.

BUT BUT: "We added 2 starters from a 73-win team to league-and-finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki!!!!"

That's complete bullshit. Not the retirement, the "because of this". Duncan is his own man. He probably feels he's put off turning to professional D&D long enough.

The timing is suspect.

The Spurs/Mavs comparison is super interesting.

Two teams with HOF unique bigs in Duncan and Dirk. The Spurs were extremely good at drafting talent to put around Tim and bringing in veteran players that understood their roles.

Cuban just keeps trying to do quick fixes. He is HORRIBLE at acquiring talent. The Rondo trade was a perfect example. He is not a good GM/Owner. He reminds me of Bob Whitsitt a lot.

I had heard earlier that Duncan was not going to retire, so yes the timing of this is indeed suspect.
