A buddy of mine told me today that, ever since he's gotten his headphones, he's fallen in love with music all over again and won't go back to anything else.

Me? I have a set of wireless earbuds that sound great. Are headphones all that? I'm thinking especially for, like, running/walking, working out, and the like. To me, it seems as if they'd be a hassle.

Earbuds are better for doing stuff that might cause headphones to fall off your head. For pure sound quality i'v always preferred good headphones to good earbuds.

I’m the exact opposite, but I have one deformed ear. Noise-canceling Headphones on flights and at home, earbuds running or at the gym. Wireless on both.

Edit: then again, never have been an audiophile. I’ve never had an amp to my headphones, or open-backed, or ...

Wireless noise cancelling Bose headphones rock.

Earbuds seem easily lost.

Iv got weird ear holes myself so regular earbuds fall right out, have to buy ones that are certain shaped or have multiple different sized covers.

Have a pair of AirPods which have decent sound quality, and their pros and cons.

Have a pair of the sports beats earbuds which go around the ear and I’ve never been a fan of them. One of the more disappointing purchases I’ve made.

Then there is my pair of beats studio wireless headphones which have amazing sound quality and comfort. The only downside is the leather around the earbuds flaked off over time.

Headphones are better. For me, too often if i move my jaw too much singing, ear buds tend to go a bit flat or sharp and the jaw bone affects the fit in the ear. Headphones that cover the ear are the best for me.

And i dont know any engineer who would mix down with ear buds over headphones.

Earbuds for convenience and headphones for quality. Only you can decide which is more important.

OK, $230 is over my budget for headphones.

Thinking about getting these JBL 500BT for about $50.

I missed this, I didn't know you wanted meidong on your head. I guess I'm flattered, but a bit creeped out also.

barfo

You're unflappable. You really are.

I got the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (the ones that look like Kidney Beans), I love them.

Those do look good.

I like headphones when taking my dog for a walk, and having the ability to listen to music, while also taking business calls when they come in.

Yeah, for important biz calls I use a real bluetooth headset made specifically for phone calls or a wired video game headset with a microphone that pulls down near your mouth, the stereo one's microphones on earbuds aren't that great. You really need a boom mic.

I wear headphones. For me, it's old school.
However, for total comfort, I'll use my SD card/bluetooth Rockville RPB 20's or the RPB21 speakers. Sound quality is superb considering they average $25.00 each. Check them out in Ebay. There are days you want to spread your musical diversity to the unsuspecting public.:djspin::feelbass:

These are what I use for everyday use, absolutely love the PowerBeats by Beats.

As far as long distance travel, for the past 10 years I’ve had BEATS over the ear, and they have been great. I read an article about these Bowers and Wilkins and thought I’d mix it up. I can tell you these are the best sounding headphones I’ve ever put on. Simply amazing sound.

probably fake leather. I had a chair that did the same thing.

Over the ear headphones for me...I have a set of Sennheiser's that I've had for 40 years...and a much newer set of Grado's.

Both are great but I still like the Sennheiser's a little bit more.
