For the first time in decades, the Nets will not be on the road for the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks during the 2010-11 season, but they will have to play one holiday game – New Year’s Eve – on the road.
The Nets' new arena will be filled with weekend afternoon games, and 7 p.m. weeknight starts will be the norm.
The other remarkable feature about the slate is that the team will have a very long All-Star break – believed to be at least six or seven days -- followed by their two-game trip to London in early March.
The Nets will have media day on Sept. 24th, start camp on Sept. 25th, and play roughly four preseason games before their first globetrotting jaunt. They will then travel to China – where they play the Houston Rockets in two preseason games – from Oct. 10th to 16th.
