It's SUPER early, but Andre Drummond is looking revitalized. I just watched him pick Trae Young clean.

Also: did Charlotte just make a good draft pick? Who is this PJ Washington?

Suns might end up surprising a lot of folks.

I’m thinking Wolves could surprise?

It's too early but....

Watching the Warriors....Steph is going to understand what Dame has been dealing with for the last 4 years.
Seriously. what was that team they put around him?

And Draymond is going to look like..... not an All-Star.

The Clips are supposed to be good because of their D. A 46 point offensive 3rd quarter last night.....without Paul George...on the road....surprised me.

The Warriors have 4 NBA players. Wouldn't make too much of this.

I think the only big surprise so far has been the Suns smoking the Kings, not that the kings are a championship contender but most people had the suns as an awful team, and the kings as a borderline playoff team, so beating the Kings by 30 was a little bit of an eye-opener, they play the Nuggets tonight, a win there and that'll be the early story of the season for me.

after watching the Bucks last night I was surprised that Brook Lopez played great defense at times and that Wes Mathews was absolutely horrible...Pat Connaughton should get all the Wes minutes he can handle. I'm kind of surprised at the numbers Shabazz Napier is putting up in Minnie off the bench...he could become a triple double six man...had 7 assists last game

No money. They're paying a guy almost a third of their cap to sit on the bench.

There was one possession last night where Steph made like 4 or 5 dribble moves and ended up hitting a long two pointer. It's like wow, he's an amazing player, but it's gonna be a frustrating experience for him dealing with that every night. I felt pretty bad for him the same way I felt bad for Dame after LA/Wes/Batum/Lopez left.

Is this thread serious? Some teams have only played like 1 game!

The thread will probably continue for 3-4 weeks, you don't have to have anything to say about early surprises now...
NOBODY should. You can't really be surprised by anything if a team has only played once can you?

Everybody in this thread is acknowledging that it's too early. It's a message board, people are going to discuss about topics they are interested in. Frankly, when I see topics on here that I think are ridiculous/dumb I just abstain from commenting. Nobody is forcing you to say something.

Sure I can. I was surprised the 1st time my daughter said, "I love you" because I wasn't expecting it. Just like I can be surprised when an NBA team does something in one game that I didn't expect. It doesn't mean that, that surprise will continue to happen, it just means in the 1st game or two something happened I didn't expect to happen.

Thus the reason why we have the Around The NBA Thread.

It's just this main page gets so god damn cramped with random threads man. This shit used to be dialed. I know,"Don't click on the link if you don't want to!"........ but you have too seriously wade through so much crap nowadays. Every time somebody gets a random ass thought they start a thread. A joke one every now and then is fine, but damn.

Were you expecting the Clippers to look this good two games in? I've been surprised by that.

I can see that perspective... I havent been here as long as you, but Im kind of ok with new threads, I dont make them very often though.

You have to recognize that when you make several "joke" threads and then bump them that you lose the right to make serious comments like this though.

You're refusing to believe that the Kings just aren't good, huh?

Ok...but this thread will be a wonderful clearing house to hold several of the random-ass-thought threads that might pop up over the next 6 weeks. So, ya know, quit whining.

No, they are so deep, I assumed they'd be good to go from day 1. I posted this opinion in the AROUND THE NBA THREAD if you want me to share the link FAMS!
