I wasn't able to catch it during the Toronto Film Festival, but I rented it tonight and I really recommend it. Cronenberg's really become one of my favourite directors over the years and this is one of the better directed mafia movies I've seen. It's surprisingly accurate and they did their research on the significance of tattoos in the Russian mob. But, the plot itself is surprisingly interesting despite the lack of any blatant gunfighting or the traditional violence that you see in mafia movies. The twist really caught me off guard. And I can't say enough about Viggo Mortenson's acting. He did a great job and made his character so interesting. (I should warn you that there's an action scene where you get a glimpse of Viggo in ze nude).

You can't really be tired watching this because it's hard to understand through the acsents but movie is amazing. It's pretty intense to imagine that being real how they just go around and kill people.

Funny and a good drama.
