Remember all those Sergio to Rudy alley-oops last year? It seemed like there was at least one of them a game. Not only were they entertaining, easy points, they also kept Rudy's defenders honest, or he would go back door on them.
This season, you hardly ever see this play. Now, obviously, Sergio and Rudy had solid chemistry. But is it that hard for Miller or Blake to do the same? Blake has played with Rudy for a while now. And check out this excerpt from a recent Andre Miller article:
Maybe Nate could call this play more. Or maybe we should lock Miller and Rudy in a room with nothing more than Sergio to Rudy highlights. It just seems crazy to have the supposed best lob passer and a alley-ooper like Rudy on the same team and not use this weapon.

In fact, poll any NBA observer over the last two decades, and they'd likely confirm the notion that Andre Miller — above such stalwarts like John Stockton, Jason Kidd(notes) and Steve Nash(notes) — is probably the best lob passer of his era. Nobody throws a rim-high spiral like this guy.
