Safe to say Hank is done. He's AWFUL this year. We are all over here talking about Girardi and Staal, but in reality Hank is the biggest liability and cause for concern for this team. $8.5M tied up in a goalie that is shot and stuck with him for the next 5 years. Think about that. $8.5M for a goalie who in 3 years will be a back up. Unreal.
 
I get a sense that this group wants to get this assclown fired after this game.

This team is a dumpster fire right now. NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO PLAY DEFENSE OR DEFEND AGAINST THE PUCK!!! Jesus Christ this will be a LONG second half of the season with AV behind the bench. Maybe if we are lucky, this game gets AV fired.

Like I said, AV burns out goalies. Look at his track record. Miller goes to a Vancouver as a great goalie and becomes mediocre. Luongo is great and then becomes awful after getting burned out with AV and then became good again with Florida. AV needs to be canned and it's disappointing that a lot of fans and this franchise can't see that.
 
While HL is on the decline I'm alot more concerned about the defenseman,

I believe miller got there when vigneault left. but yes, I agree he needs to get canned as soon as possible. Idiot never takes timeout whne things are going bad. That bugles my mind.

I know the defense hasn't played well but Lundqvist simply cannot make a save right now. It's one thing for a young player but it's tough to watch when a veteran's confidence is clearly shot. It's not as sudden as we think as this has slowly been coming since he crapped the bed in the playoffs against Tampa. Again, not all his fault as the defense is below average at this point but a goalie has to make saves and bail the team out at times. Hank simply is not doing that as everything is going in.
 
They have to tie this one up at 7-7 now. Make this one a classic.
 
Shesterkin cant get here soon enough. I appreciate what lundqvist has done for this franchise but he has to get his shit together soon or he will be bought out.

This is whats left on hanks salary cap. Each year has nmc which do not see him waiving. I'm not sure what the actual cap it would be if the rangers actually bought hank out. Can anyone who is more familiar with this advise what buyout would be? And is their a limit as to how many players can be bought out by a team in a season? AV needs to go immediately if not sooner.
 
They come all the way to within one and then can't tie it with 11 min. Unreal.

They're not buying out Lundqvist so it's not really a conversation worth having. Girardi would be the likely one bought out which would bring with it six years of dead cap space.
 
It was inevitable for lundqvist's decline. Well, we are witnessing it right now. Not pretty. The only hope is they can revamp the defense to help him.
 
Sorry guys, but honestly I can't even watch them anymore. Wake me up when the playoffs start (If they even get there).
 
they will probably get to the playoffs as a wild card and then get bounced in the first round.

It has been coming. It's just hard to admit or accept. Yup, without a better defense in front of him it will not be pretty. The days of him standing on his head are going to be few and far between. It's just the facts of life for an aging athlete. Eli Manning is entering that same realm. The players themselves also have to make the proper adjustments and understand they can no longer play like they used to.
 
Lundqvist is trying to be nice about the shitt coverage in front of him.
 
Maybe hank will realize that this could be the end and will retire at the end of this season. He might not want to suffer the next three years to tarnish his legacy here or whatever years left on his contract. If shesterkin can get here next year, that would be huge for this organization.

he can't make a routine save anymore that he used to make. yes shitty coverage with these traffic cones on d but he has to make routine saves for them at least have a chance.
 
I hope and pray that Hank turns it around to shut all of you up. I mean it is comical in here. Can you give up on somebody quicker.

Teams drops 3 straight games and everyone is bailing. Fire the coach. The team is awful. Hank is done. Laughable.

I have no clue if the team will get better and turn it around. No clue if Hank will get better (maybe age has caught up to him). But I pray and hope they all turn around from these 3 awful games and go on a run just to see what you all would write then.
 
My problem with Hank is he's done nothing over the years to improve his game, still gives up bad goals because of poor fundamentals and hasn't done a thing to get better handling the puck. It's a long season with peaks and valleys now the Rangers are getting healthy. This may be short lived as their opponents continue to take runs at them with no worries of repercussions, CK isn't the guy I want fighting. I agree AV needs to make a strong run, he's been taking this team in the wrong direction since the Cup run.
