I was a huge fan of Meyers on draft day. He had NBA level skills. As the years went by, it became clear his mental problems were holding his game back.

Now we learn he had a "mood" disorder. Which is often associated with a grandiose dilusional disorder. Which he clearly also has.

I hope Meyers gets well, and takes advantage of his second chance. He is now in his prime, and his skills will start to decline. Due to his weak mental health, I fear the end of his career may turn ugly.
nah...Meyers is like a 7 year old car with 20 miles on it....longest rookie wall in NBA history...he's just started understanding how to use his skills ...he'll probably peak at 36 or so at the rate he's going

This seems kind of misogynistic. Meyers basically has the personality of an instagram model. Instagram models are women. Really bad misogyny equating grandiose delusional disorder with being a woman.

A Dry Goodbye presents a compelling story that illustrates how Blazer fans missed the opportunity to get the best out of Meyers while in Portland. In both 2015 and 2019 Playoffs, Meyers set swish3 shooting records (76.9% and the 83.3% WCF Game 4 first half) that may never be equaled by another Blazer. Meyers has elite swish3 scoring efficiency that could have led to more Blazer wins with better game plans.

There is something that can be learned here. Fans can either add to the confidence of Blazer players, as we have done for Dame, Nurk, Zach, and Ant, or they can show disrespect by being hypercritical that decreases the chance for optimal performance. Fans pretending to know what a Blazer is thinking, criticizing towel waving and cheering from the bench, being quick to instantly boo any mistake, and complaining about salary that is a management decision are just wasting Blazer chances for Playoff wins and the Championship. The story here includes demoralizing Meyers to the point of depression rather than recognizing his contributions. There is a lot of credit due for his determined improvements in the last 2 years!

As a Meyers fan, I think that Meyers did not in fact have the chance that he deserved with the Blazers. After that Jan 30 decisive 132-105 win over Rudy Gobert and the Jazz after they had clobbered us twice in 3 days (including on Christmas), and with an early season shooting performance that led the Blazers, Meyers stayed on the bench in several games when he should have been scoring 3 or more swish3s per game. And Meyers should have started all of the WCF games. WCF Game 4 was the only game this year in which Meyers attempted 6 swish3s in one half (as I had been calling for all season), and he made 5 of them, consecutively, and led all Blazer scoring.

We no longer have Meyers to score swish3s, and now must rely on others. Let's hope that Rodney, Anthony, or somebody had help Dame and CJ reach the 15 scored swish3s likely needed to win games next season. But what Blazer fans need to learn is that recognizing and encouraging talent promotes the best in Blazers by building their confidence. Basketball is a game of confidence! Let's build it, and avoid bashing it.

Get off your burner account Elle...

so, a couple in their mid-20's, firmly entrenched in the 1%, have to relocate for work. Call the Hallmark channel, stat

by the way, for those giving DouginSalem shit about his thousand dollar price for being humiliated: if he's married like me, that thousand dollar humiliation is a thousand dollars above the going rate

Meyers and Elle have a clothing brand now ...she's just keeping her network open for business.

Elle, quit blaming fans for your husband's shaky confidence.
I know it's fun and all, but there is no way Elle would write in the ridiculous trollish style of Swish3.

.....And I give her a great deal of credit for taking the high road on her way to Miami. I wish them both the best, personally and professionally.

I too wish them the best. My girlfriend has family down there. In The Villages. I would move there and live with @Shaboid in a second. One problem though-they dont have a bottle bill, so I would have no income. HOWEVER, I just read that they are trying to pass a 20 or 30 cent a can bill through the legislature. YEAH BUDDY!!!!!
IMA GUNNA BE RICH!!!

Oh, man. We LOVE that shit. This 90+ weather lately has been AWESOME! It's that twisty weather down there that I don't want to deal with. Those hurricanes that flatten your house. Screw that stuff.... Lol

L.O.L.... Man, I appreciate the assist. However, I have much respect for the guys that were flipping me shit, and I would not expect (or hope for) anything less than what they did. It's all good. They were having fun, just like I try to do here.

Thanks again though. Appreciate it....

And BTW-I'm not married anymore. I have a girlfriend now, which is probably worse than being married.... :bgrin:

Lol, I'm married and I was just giving him a hard time, I suppose I could've used the green font, but it seemed to be pretty obvious that it was all in jest. If he took it differently than that I apologize to him.

My wife doesn't humiliate me though in fact quite the opposite.

Meyers was one of the worst players we have ever had on this team. He was on "ha" level.

Get over it. He sucked. Bye, Elle.

no lie, I like the 3 pm thunderstorms everyday.

Collins can give us one 3 a game as a starter probably. so It's fine if those other guys number sag a bit from playing less minutes, still 15 threes a game and CHAMPIONSHIP
Or we could be good on 10 threes a game and do other things well. I guess that's a foreign idea in the modern NBA.

im glad he's off the team.

ill never forgive him for that Rise Up documentary

also here's some of the post game wrap ups i made before it became so pitiful it actually made me sad

You're a lucky man. And I'm being sincere.

Lol that rise up documentary was embarrassing. Well so is his everything else he does. Imagine being so far up your own ass that you believe you’re enough of a draw to start a brand with your own name on it.
