GARDNER (April, May & June) = 9/39/304 with 15 SBs
GARDNER (July, Aug & Sept) = 7/26/213 with 4 SBs

ELLSBURY (April, May, & June) = 1/6/324 with 14 SBs
ELLSBURY (July, Aug & Sept) = 6/26/222 with 6 SBs

Both their hitting & running game has pretty much vanished in the 2nd half. And this is what we have at the top of the order. So much for being table setters.

Did you want another ' blame Joe' thread?

Running game gave way yet again to homerball. These guys play too much xbox!

Ellsbury is just having a terrible season and hasn't been the same since returning from the injury. I would have faith in him bouncing back. Gardner on the other hand I cannot stress enough is a glorified fourth outfielder who has shown a trend of fading out in the second half of seasons. If there's anyway to move him in a package deal they need to try and do so.

^^^^Completely agree.

You just don't understand intangibles.... Lol!

i would dump them both. would love to see ellsey and that contract gonzo. gardy the worst/fastest base runner i have ever watched. not the brightest of bulb i suspect.

Agreed. Both need new environments. Ells has dropped
off both in his hitting & fielding. Gardy cannot get to the
next level.....his act never changes.
Definite need for new table setters.
