It comes down to how much work and effort you want to put into it. As entertaining as you are, if you just talk at length for ten minutes it may be a bit much for some viewers. BUT you could split the show up into different "sections" of maybe three minutes each. In other words, give it structure. Obviously, one of the "sections" would be answering viewer mail. I don't know what your other sections would be. maybe a section with a weird stat of the day? A player of the day? Or split up ths show by talking about each conference equally?
also, what would obviously would make the show unique is that you're YOU. People can watch any of a thousand webcasts or sportsshows about basketball. But basketball mixed with entertainment gossip? Red Smith used to talk about gardening on his NPR radio sports show, and everyone ate it up. Milk who you are, and what you've got, even if it is something as simple as who you ran into at a restaurant or something.
Finally, think about designing a background. You could get a big piece of poster board and decorate it and use it as your set. One thought that comes to mind is using pictures of all-time movie stars like Cary Grant, cutting them out, and pasting a basketball in his hand--kind of like a montage that meshes basketball with the entertainment angle.
whatever you decide to do, I'm sure it will be entertaining. I have a lot of respect for people who willingly go in front of a crowd like that all alone. The thought terrifies me. Even telling people on this board my name terrifies me. Good luck!
