Yeah, the Willamette is a tributary of the Columbia. He probably looked at google maps and assumed the Willamette flows south. There aren't a lot of major rivers in North America that flow from south to north (the Yellowstone is another).

Except he used "confluence" correctly, which nullifies the idea of the Willamette splitting off from the Columbia. It's just bad writing.
 
Nice article. I didn't realize we're the youngest team in the playoffs.

They mentioned it multiple times on the national broadcast of Sunday's game. Our team's average is age 24.something years old. BTW, I believe that was also our team's average age when we won the title in 1977. That was also a very young team.

Hope not! Stop going after average players. The Blazers need to make a big splash this summer and Barton is not a big splash.
We could use Barton right now, in these playoffs. Crabbe seems to have lost his confidence and that is one thing Barton will never lose.
 
Is "urban waterway" his nice way of relating the Willamette as the rotten cess pool of waste it is
