I love this guy (no hetero). I mean, my whole life all I keep hearing is "why don't you do what other people do?"
This is great. I love your take, as I am someone who has also done things differently my whole life and have heard those same questions. But the "no hetero" caveat? Brilliant. It highlights how inane it is is when people write the opposite.

I love you man (no pesto).

Do people actually say "no homo" in a serious way though? I don't think I've ever heard it said as anything but a harmless joke.

I think some say it kind of ironically almost making fun of those who say it. But it is a real thing. Especially for 16 year olds on the Internet...hehe

What do you know about 16 year olds on the Internet...

You better watch out or you're gonna be having an awkward sit down with Chris Hanson! Lol

Wait. Did I miss something? CJ's dig at Harden?
"He doesn't put himself above the team or above other players," McCollum says. "He's not taking Uber to games instead of arriving with the team. He just works hard. He treats the rookies like he treats vets. He never demoralizes people and doesn't talk down to them. It's rare you see a player of his caliber so humble, so laid back. He's caring."

James Harden arrived at Oracle Arena in a black SUV with his bodyguard, marketing rep and four friends.

He chose not to ride in either of Houston's two team buses, something he has done all season because he likes to be certain he arrives at a specific time before every game, despite how it might look to observers.

Damn. That was a fine article. How could we go an entire year without hearing about the bamboo/water thing? Our locals are slacking.

It has come up before. One of the radio stations (I think 1080 The Fan) had him on for an interview after he last came out.

Mo-ito? Too bad Moe's middle name isn't James, Jackson, John etc.

Mojito!!!!!

I must have missed that one. I think mojito would make more sense for Montero. Hehe

Ill take a washed up D12 as my starting center. In a heartbeat. Gimme 3.5 blks/12 pts and 10 rebounds.
Howard doesn't block 3.5 shots anymore and he cares more about getting touches than anything else and he has bombed on his last two teams. And he's older than the core. And he doesn't pass like Plumlee, and Davis would lose minutes.

Do we know anything about Dame's love life?

Oh and great article. On the radio in LA today, they said Warriors would win title with Dame instead of Curry. I agree.

JVG said the same thing during Game 3; as much as I bristle at the comparisons too (I'm with Dame; let him be his own player dammit!), it's not false; some improvements in our supporting cast (Marc Gasol would be a coup), and we're in the conversation.

I know everyone is reserved to thinking Durant is a lock to stay in OKC. The question I have is why? We know players leave teams, statistically a huge percentage of star players leave the the team that drafted them around the age of 28-30.... Huge percentage. Also just because he backed up Westbrook aregarding Cuban doesn't mean he won't leave, they are still teammates now and in the playoffs so yeah he's gonna say the right things. But let's look at the actual cast of characters compared to the Blazers.

Blazers - Thunder

Durant = Durant
Lillard < Westbrook (minimal edge)
CJ > Roberson
Aminu < Ibaka
Plumlee > Adams
Crabbe > Waiters
Leonard < Kanter
Harkless > Singler
Henderson > Morrow

Portland is a bigger market than OKC, so it's one fo the rare examples where we aren't the smaller market. I think Like the Rockets and Clippers, the Thunder should they not make it to the Conference finals are in a state of stagnation. I'm not predicting Durant will come to Portland, but I don't believe that he is a lock to automatically re-up with OKC.

By coincidence, today I started a book I picked up at Friends of Castro Valley Public Library book sale called The Water's Lovely.

Westbrook gets better stats but I wouldn't call him the better player. Next year's Meyers is probably better than Kanter. Also, Aminu is better than Ibaka. Ibaka has fallen off lately while Aminu is surging.
