Candidate #4 is Tony DiLeo who currently works with the 76ers.

DiLeo assists President of Basketball Operations Rod Thorn with player procurement through his evaluation of amateur and professional talent and supervises the team’s draft which in recent years has produced the likes of Andre Iguodala, Lou Williams, Thaddeus Young, Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner. In addition, DiLeo was instrumental in drafting Allen Iverson and surrounding the future hall-of-famer with the talented roster which produced 56 wins in 2000-01 and captured the Eastern Conference Championship.

My nephews only two, so it'll have to be at least another 3 years (that's the point they start caring right), but I'd definitely appreciate it.

Keep up the good work HCP, we all love and envy you, you've got the dream job, getting paid and getting to watch the Blazers, minus the family life implications.

Whoa there! Let's not get crazy with your brown nosing!

Who is reporting that Dileo is also a legit canidate?

Me, and some of the Blazers beat writers. Don't think he's a top candidate in the group, though.

Google "Blazers interview Dileo" and you'll see all sorts of articles on it.

John Canzano ‏@JohnCanzanoBFT
One Paul Allen confidant is pushing internally for Neil Olshey. Take it for what it's worth.

Can't see Indiana GM David Morway staying in this Blazers GM search much longer.

I highly doubt any "PA confident" is telling Crapzano anything. I honestly think 100% that Crapzano just makes stuff up based on what he thinks people will believe just so it appears he knows something relavent.

It could very well be the case. I mean that's what guys like Barrett do, but it could also very well be that Canzano is talking to someone who a PA confident would talk to

Barrett has legit sources, he talks with Born, Buchanon, etc.
Crapzano has burned so many bridges that he know has to call the Rose Garden garbage man for his inside info.

I wish that Canzano would win another award so he could get a job offer in a bigger market and get the hell out of Portland. I was listening to his show a bit in my car yesterday and the dufus was ripping on the Blazers for past draft "mistakes" (which is fine as far as it goes), but he seemed to have no clue that Victor Claver was still the Blazers' property or that they plan on bringing him over for a look this summer (which is just plain embarrassing for a columnist who writes about the Blazers).

You guys mock Canzano, and for good reason, but he mentioned DiLeo yesterday morning as one of the candidates that met with Paul Allen. He has more clues than some give him credit for

Considering his position, he should have a lot more clues than he does. There are several people scattered on a few Blazers boards that have more "inside" information than he does.

Rookie? Check the join date. Oh, and Olshey just reupped with the Clips. Wonder what happens next? Here comes Morway and Shaw.

I still wouldn't be surprised if management was waiting to talk to Ainge.

Just sayin'.

Nearly 400 days "looking" and you hire a guy with zero experience? I'm not buying this Phil Jackson stuff.
