ESPN Commercial for Warriors vs Blazers game

I think it is safe to say that the Turner signing was a mistake, as was the Leonard signing. Unnecessary and duplicative. Mo and Crabbe make sense, at least to me.

Question: If we didn't use all that money on Turner, could we have saved it for this off-season? If so, are there any free agents that would have made more sense?

Any big that played any defense?

He is so bad his follower list should be in the negative

Given the 40 point beatdown the Warriors put on the Blazers last time, if I were ESPN trying to drum up viewers, I'd certainly go with a similar approach. I'm sure that if the Blazers had played them the way they did in the playoffs last year, it would be a more evenhanded promo. That said, I certainly hope that Stotts is showing this to the Blazers as extra motivation to show up and play hard. Of course, they really shouldn't need much motivation after that last debacle.

Has anyone heard whether Lillard is playing or not?

I don't see a problem with the commercial. Warriors are a big sell. Blazers aren't. They got 4 all stars. Two of the biggest names in the league. I see nothing but a beat down tomorrow night. Blazers just haven't played like they wanna be respected

Makes sense. That's not a game I'd choose to bring him back either.
Honestly I think he is probably ready to go tomorrow but they know it's a loss, would rather get that extra rest considering the very next day is the Lakers who he could light up

Yeah, that's the way I see it too.

There's no point of even playing GSW.
We should play with our worst 7 players only.

FOUND IT!

That's not even Blazer specific. Not single mention of the Blazers until the final screen and no footage against the Blazers. It's just a generic promo that they can reuse for any team that plays the Warriors.

The only other jerseys I recognized were BOS and TOR.

Still, if the perceived slight, even if it's a generic slight, can be used to motivate our guys, I'm all for it. And maybe that is the slight, we're just another in a long line a generic teams that will fall to the mighty Warriors.

But again, is it really a slight if it's true? I just checked the Warriors five losses, and the last (and only) time they lost to a generic team was November 4 to the Lakers. Their other four losses have been to SAS, HOU (in 2OT), MEM and CLE (by 1 on the road).

Damn, dude, really? Are the Blazers likely to win? No, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a point to the game. First, there's the old "on any given night" deal that says every game is worth playing. Second, it's always good to get to play against the best and to use it as a chance work on improving as a team.

the way were going, if 2-3 of them have good nights the Warriors could drop 150 on us.

its bizarre to say, but lezbi honest here, it very really could happen.

Two weeks ago, I would have agreed with you, but in our last 6 games, SAS is the only team to score more than 96 points against us.

Two and a half weeks ago, we gave up 135 to GSW at GSW. Given that we lost that game by 45, the ESPN promo hardly seems out of line. It will be interesting to see if our defense really has improved since that time.

Defense is markedly improved..credit the guys and coaches for effort...if they keep the Warriors from running up a big score I'll be thrilled, win or lose

It's like Angola vs Dream Team, there's nothing to "gain" in this game but a chance to get injured and a show of respect for the opponent and i'm not interested in any of those.

I'm actually surprised more coaches didn't forfeit in Oakland, it's a protest against the league MAJOR fuck up and it's free rest time for your players.
