About five boards in 24 min for a rookie is okay. That's 10.2 rebounds per 48 minutes. Not great, but decent. For comparison's sake, LaMarcus Aldridge averaged about 10.8 boards per 48 minutes his rookie year.

EDIT: That said, Lopez has never been a strong rebounder, and I personally doubt he reaches that average this year. Of course, I hope he proves me wrong.

First, buy a calendar.

Second, he was brought in to significantly upgrade that position, not "compensate for the loss" of anyone.

Little errors like this drive me crazy. Every episode of SportsCenter has 20 of these.
