Wallace's line tonight

25 pts
10 rbs
7 ass
2 st
1 blk

He was 5-17 from the floor though.

25 points on 17 shots isn't too bad, though. Must've been getting to the line at almost, dare I say it, Baylessian rates.

[Comment From Jason In Portland]
I think everyone wants to hear what the Blazers are going to do. So call up Vince and tell him to get an airplane ticket to the rose city :)

I know this Jay from Portland....the blazers have talked to everyone. the amar'e rumors were real, they desperately need a PG but in the end they will take the best offer for the package of Raef, Outlaw and whomever....that seems at this point to be vince

Is that pronounced BayLESSian or BayLEEsian. I think the second one sounds better.

From Chad Ford

>>Another source also confirmed that the Blazers did make a call to the Bucks to renew discussions of a possible Jefferson for Raef LaFrentz swap. The two teams had spoken on and off about a deal for several weeks but the Bucks hadn't heard from them in recent days.

The Blazers, as of this evening, were also still trying to find a way to put together a better package for Gerald Wallace after the Bobcats turned down an preliminary LaFrentz for Wallace offer earlier in the day. The Bobcats would still like the Blazers to take back Nazr Mohammed or to throw Nicolas Batum into a deal.<<

10:25 Eastern from Chris Broussard:

My two cents on the Vince Carter thing: Rod Thorn drives a hard bargain, and he usually holds firm at the deadline until the other guy decides whether to blink. Two years ago, he wouldn't send Jason Kidd to the Lakers unless they sent Andrew Bynum back. Last year, he wanted two unprotected No. 1s along with Devin Harris from the Mavs, and he got them. And on this one, my gut tells me that if Thorn can get the Blazers to give him Travis Outlaw, Rudy Fernandez, $3 million and a bunch of those extra second-round picks the Blazers are holding (their own, New York's and Denver's in 2009, their own and the Bulls' in 2010) along with Raef LaFrentz's expiring contract, the Nets will do it.

Ugh. I dunno. Outlaw and Rudy and RLEC?

Would we rather have Rudy+Jefferson or VC? I'd probably go with the former...

Hell yeah I would go with the former. Thorn isn't getting Rudy. I don't see KP trading Rudy so soon

No way we drop that much on Vince. Not worth it IMO. Replace rudy with Sergio and it's a deal.

Love the idea of getting Carter, if it's for expiring contracts and Outlaw.

Not interested in Carter if it means giving up Rudy, Batum or Bayless.

Nets want Fernandez?

This one had me cracking up. If KP does the following deal, I'd be shocked. No way the Nets will get all of this for Carter.

Rudy isn't going anywhere especially for VC. Maybe for someone like Granger or Butler but not VC who I don't even think KP wants that bad.

Re: Nets want Fernandez?

This is hilarious! Maybe if we throw in Roy, Aldridge, and Oden they'll toss D.Harris into the deal.

Thorn doesn't have the leverage to ask for Rudy. He has less than 24 hours to save his owner $30MM. Tick-tock tick-tock.

Nets Want Rudy?

I only post this because Shooter's link disappeared for some reason.

If anyone knows anything about this, please give more details. This would make Sug's post a bit more understandable. He said a player involved would upset some posters, and Rudy being involved would upset some posters.

If we traded Rudy for VC I think I would stop watching the Blazers. That is fucking ridiculous.

Re: Nets Want Rudy?

Apparently OKC rescinded the Chandler trade as well. Perhaps you missed the 4 threads about it on the board right now.

It was merged into this thread, which is dedicated to the same link that is being updated periodically by ESPN.com.

The only way Portland would include Rudy would be if Devin Harris was also involved. Basically, not a chance.

I didn't know it was an ESPN link. How could I since the link disappeared almost instantly?

It didn't disappear. It was merged into this thread.

This thread has a link and an explanation of what it is.

There are about a dozen posts at the end of the thread dedicated to that exact topic, and it has been quoted within the posts at least twice.

It disappeared completely for me. So did the forum for about a minute. What's going on? Who are these people?

Haha. Weird.

Maybe we're spinning the hamster wheel too quickly today?

You guys are doing great, but I swear at some point I was watching live coverage of the 1980 USA-USSR hockey semi-final game through some sort of S2 wormhole.

Batum looks good tonight. You watching Mixum? Batum is going to be a good SF. He is only a 19 year old rookie and plays good D plus can score if given the chance.

Your not getting Rudy. KP would want a lot more then VC for RLEC and Rudy.

Rudy is overrated by many members of this board. I'm sure I'll get killed again for this, but ultimately he isn't a SF and he won't supplant Roy at SG.

I don't disagree, but why trade him now when he's under cheap team control for three more years?
