Evan Turner becomes a Blazer

Does it occur to you that maybe he just did that? Adding a quality backup PG could mean having the ability to trade CJ for a major piece.
CJ and Dame are tighter than an Italian tenors trousers. If that's his plan, fire him now

The lakers got a free agent already. And he is on a better deal than the one we got.
Turners deal is worse than mozgovs.
Turner was a starter on a very good team. The Cavs turned it around when they totally benched Mozgov.

I actually quite like Mozgov, but he's kind of a dinosaur. Turner is the picture of the new NBA of all-interchangeable-parts.

This reminds me a bit of when we signed Wes. EVERYBODY thought he was RIDICULOUSLY overpaid.

Welp, such a farcry from what we were interested in (Whiteside, Howard, Parsons) to this. I mean I feel bad for Neil because this is how it will always be for Portland, even if they have a championship contending team, but at the same time, the answer is not to overspend for medicore players. So for that Neil is probably not the right guy.

We went over the advantages of adding Turner 2 months ago. Just not for that kind of money. He fills some needs. You guys are just pissed because you thought you were getting more. Eventually you will find out this is a good addition.

He is a wing who can guard multiple positions and can run the offense while playing with either Dame or CJ. This is how Boston used him. I posted an article about it at the time. Stevens loves him.

Good mid range jumper too

Yeah, I agree. The price tag is a shock, but I like the player. I have to wonder whether this means Crabbe is gone? They seem like they'd demand the same backup minutes at SG and SF. He played some PG for the Celtics, but I don't think that's his best position.

I was hoping we could sign Fournier, so in the vein of Run TMC, we could be FML

I think we will acquire a big in a trade. That's my gut feeling.

why is everyone blaming Olshey. I can't see how it is his fault that Whiteside and Parsons are making what seem to me to be irrational decisions. I'm glad he had somebody else ready so quickly, give him some credit.
I don't blame him AT ALL for guys not signing here. I blame him for thinking they will, and blame him for giving a guy like Turner that much money. Crabbe and Harkless are at least equal to him

So if he gets the 4.5% raises, then this turns into about 16.4 as starting salary.

We'd have just a shade under about 8 mil left in space.

i think in TrueGrit it was "don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining"

Turner will start along side CJ and Dame at the 3. Bye Aminu
