Evan Turner To Fight Twitter Troll........

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

You are making my comment into a much bigger deal than it is. I feel it was likely done for attention and you don't. No big deal:cheers:
Your comment impugned the character of someone I know personally. I will vigorously defend the character of my friends from any unfounded and unreasonable attacks.

Lets not go off assumptions and hypotheticals now......

Jake could very well be thinking that this could be a great event for the city (in which he is trying to get back to) and that may be the only reason he did it. But no one knows, so we shouldn't be assuming anything about him unless you know him personally.

It's called an opinion of which we all have one. Is this going to continue to be your act or will you eventually grow up? :beatinto:

It looks like he responded to a question, and listed several. It seems super unlikely that he expected a response from any of them. But since ET responded, he may now possibly be milking it.

To boost their ratings. Looks like it worked for Demers. "25 people are talking about this". That has to be 2x - 3x his usual listernership.

Exactly. Drawing attention to his show and himself. PPP seems to think it is a negative connotation. Radio jocks do all sorts of things for attention. Some good and some not so good and the reason they are often referred to as shock jocks. They enjoy controversy and do it to garner interest/ attention.

Now you are taking it way out of context. You don't think radio jocks do things to generate attention? I don't listen to radio much anymore but I use to hear them say all sorts of things to draw attention to their show. You call it interest and I call it attention. It's not a bad word and not like I said the guy was an asshole for tweeting that

Jake isn't the "radio jock"--Jake is just the listener who was responding to the host, a listener whom you basically implied was nothing more than an attention whore. In my opinion, that's impugning his character.

Did I quote you? Or are you ASSuming I was speaking to you and only to you?????????????

You are truly owned.... I am obviously in your head. But since YOU brought me up... I did notice you are being wildy hypocritical... again....

I'm curious though... wouldn't asking me if I am ever going to grow up be a personal insult, insinuating I am a child?????

For someone who gets so bent over words and considers them insults, you sure like to fling them out yourself.

Next time, if you aren't quoted, don't assume. It only makes you look like an ASS, like this post I quoted does.

Impugned his character? The guy posted something in public (twitter) calling out several athletes he'd like to punch in the face. Isn't the entire purpose of twitter to get attention? Isn't that exactly what he got?

Regardless, the guy is willing to fight Evan Turner. I doubt if he needs you defending his honor.

No, he wasn't "calling people out"--he was responding to a question posed to listeners. Participating in the conversation, as is the style of the 620 shows.
No, Twitter's entire purpose is not necessarily to get attention. It's called "social" media--emphasis on social. Unless you consider all social interaction to be trying to get attention, in which case...OK, sure.
No, he doesn't need me to defend his honor, but I'm going to anyway, because that's what I'd want someone to do on my behalf if the roles were reversed.

He doesn't get it. Its no use. I tried yesterday. He believes it is okay to spout out any opinion he has, but if he disagrees with someone elses opinion, they are wrong and shouldnt assume and he doesnt do hyptheticals....and yada yada yada.

Yeah, you are barking up a stump, not a healthy tree.

Hey bailey, you posts are extremely child like and stupid. :biglaugh:

I think I have pretyt much agreed with 100% of your posts in the past and you are probably the highest respected person on this forum to me. With that said, I have ot mark you down to 99.9%. I believe you to be wrong on this.

I will defend my friends who are wrongly accused of something until I die. Nothing wrong with that.

Twitter doesn't consider themselves to be a social media platform and they are not listed in the social media category of the app stores.

He responded in a public. In which case, he's fair game for the public to respond back. Either on twitter or here, or anywhere else.

You seem to be making a huge deal about nothing. Your grandstanding in his defense has drawn way more attention to him (here at least) than the original tweet. If he really and truly doesn't want attention, maybe you should just let it go. On the other hand, if he does want attention then @CupWizier was right all along.

So, you would sacrifice your own life to defend a friend who was called an "attention seeker" on Twitter?

Damn, now I want you back in my corner. Money can't buy that kind of loyalty.

BNM

Why is it obvious that he's "looking for attention"? Because he happened to use ET's twitter handle in his tweet back to a local radio show? You're making an unfounded assumption here. No way he could have expected ET to even see the tweet, let alone respond to it.

He specifically tagged Evan Turner in his tweet. Of all the athletes he said he'd like to punch in the face, Turner was the only one he actually tagged. If he didn't want Turner to see it, he wouldn't have tagged him. So, either he wanted Turner to see it, or he's incredibly naive to think he wouldn't.

HAHA, come on now. Are we friends?

You twisted my context. No I would not sacrifice my life for the defense of plagarism or slander. But I will continue to defend my friends until the time of my death and will never stop.

That doesn't mean he is seeking attention, it means he was seeking out Turner.

Maybe he knows Turner plays for the Blazers, so he tagged him in hopes to get PORTLANDS attention to help his movement to get back here?

Just sayin, there are many plausible scenarios that do not include him being an attention whore.

You also specifically said "wrongly accused". To me, it's not clear if this guy was wrongly accused of anything. @CupWizier didn't even call him an attention whore, he said "Obviously looking for attention". If the guy didn't want any attention why'd he tag Turner in his tweet?

BNM

Oh no, now you've done it. Prepare for the wrath of the monotreme! You just accused the guy of seeing the attention of an entire city - the 22nd largest media market in the United States.

How is that different than @CupWizier saying "Obviously looking for attention"?

Not this type of attention. Barkley said Draymond needs to get punched in the face, so the radio asked a question about who listeners would want to punch in the face.

He probably threw the tag of ET out because he knew him or follows him, as usually, if you're mentioning a celebrity on Twitter and you know their handle, you tag them.

He wasn't seeking attention from Evan Turner, as nobody should exist then to respond, as they usually don't.
