I'm pretty sure I know exactly where that house is. Does it have a large steel ball that rotates in a water fall of sorts that flows in a way to keep the ball spinning? NW portland up the hill from the college right?
If so I've loved that house for a long time. drive by it every day and used to walk by it every day when I lived a couple blocks down the hill.
I thought an Asian family lived there. Maybe they sold it.
The views from this house are.... yeah....
Basically that parking area is on top of the house

I know it's completely different than shooting in game with a defender in your face, but this is the one missing ingredient that would make him worth his contract.

Looks like he could be quite good in the NCAA!

I have been expecting this. Based on his comments in the past about not needing to take 3pt shots...I doubt he rarely practiced it. In his mind shooting 3's was not his game. But now after a full year in Terry Stotts offense, he knows he has to at least keep the defense honest. No doubt after a full offseason of working on it, his 3pt shooting will be better. How much better remains to be seen. But 33% would be ample based on everything else he provides. (assuming he doesn't take too many)

You know, if Evan wants to hire me to defend him (or just stand in front of him while he shoots) I am free on Wednesdays...

That said, his shot looks a LOT more fluid now. I hope it translates into regular season success.

33 is precisely the number I had in mind for him as well. I'd be thrilled to see that from him.

Sorry, but I can't get over the fact that he bought the most Toyota-looking Ferrari ever made. :auto:

I dunno, JaVale McGee's shot looking wet in workouts too:

Hope springs eternal, but in both cases, I'll believe it when I see it in regular season games. But I do like that he's working on it, which I assume was the thrust of your post.

After that horrendous night he was leaving town not embracing it. Those fourth Q free throws cost us a chance and the owners 63k each shot View attachment 13965 Horizontal Axis =E.T
Why are you showing electron annihilation? Just for a positron joke?

Edit I see I made a similar comment at the time.

That, and the fact that he calls Jon Diebler and JJ Redick his role models. Sounds like he's not just working on it, but making it a priority.

But yeah--gonna need to see in game results before I get too excited.

He releases the ball too soon. It's on the way up and not at the apex of his jump.

An interesting factiod - if you are a first time new Ferrari buyer - it seems that you now need to buy a California before they will allow you to buy a 488...

(Technically you do not, but you will be very low on the list, where you would be bumped higher if you also buy a California).

HA! So THAT'S how they've managed to sell those monstrosities! That's a pretty expensive ticket just to get in line for a real Ferrari.
If I had the money, I'd much rather buy an older Ferrari - the styling as really gone downhill. Shit, I'd rather have a Mondial than a California.

That might be taking a bit too much. The Mondial was a monstrosity and the California is actually a really nice driving machine (I got to wheel one for a short drive - they are not pretty, but they are very competent, the Mondial is even uglier). I would take a 308GT4 over it tho.

Whaaaat...? That California is hot.

The California looks like a bigger, fatter, modern Nissan 350Z. It's a nice enough looking car on it's own, but at this price point - you expect more. It is however a very nice driving car and can actually be used daily - which is a real treat for someone that must drive a Ferrari every day.

I don't know... I don't think they look anything alike:

Whatever works. His form might not be perfect but it is still a huge improvement from last year. Don't you think? It's not like he will be shooting them when someone is guarding him.

Here is a 370Z (newer version of the 350Z) compared to the California - The are both front-engined with really tall sides, the Ferrari is a 10 years newer design - with more scoops and surprisingly longer overhangs - but this is just a generic upper-class convertible sports car, not an exotic like the 458/488 nor the svelte long-hood machines that previous front-engined F-cars were

If you prefer - here is a Jaguar F-Type convertible - a car that costs a 1/3 of the F-Car

The problem is that it is just another stubby fat-sided convertible sports car, it just does not look special. I understand that a lot of it is the need for practicality and modern side-impact requirements - but still, it just does not measure up, imho.

If Denny wants to buy me one for my contributions to the forum, I will not kick it out of my driveway, but it is not a pretty car imho.

Fair enough.

No doubt the California is a much better driver. But though the Mondial is not a pretty car, I do think it's a better looking car - and most certainly looks more like a Ferrari. IMO the 308s and 328s are pretty much "peak" Ferrari, in terms of styling. So, I'd take pretty much any iteration of 308/328 over anything post-Testarossa. IMO everything went downhill starting with the F40.

I disagree about the Mondial - but I agree that things started to go downhill after the 328 - but it was still ok for the 348 and the 355, 550 - after that - everything became too big. They started to figure out that their customers are old, rich and fat - they needed the space. It was a smart business decision, but looks wise, not great.

The 458/488, Enzo and LaFerrari would be just fine if they were 3/4 the size.

Well, this is a pic of the redesigned and improved California - Turner has the earlier version. I still think it's bland as fuck - definitely not what you expect when it comes to Ferrari or Pininfarina (I think they designed the Cali?). But these days, it's so hard to distinguish one manufacturer from another at any given price point. Asian design has improved and Euro design has declined to the point where there's not enough aesthetic difference between a BMW and a Kia.
