I've always thought the Like-to-Post ratio was a good FG% for posters.

We had rep points which did get converted into likes. Is just now there's no limit to giving likes (reps had a limit). So really it's more like moving the three point line in and everyone also getting better and more prolific.

I kinda wanted everyone's post count to reset when we rest the like system but it wasn't a major deal. Used to be a 10:1 post to like ratio was good; now 5:1 is more like it.

Longer than that I believe. As has been discussed, the like-to-post ratio is a completely misleading stat because it overinflates the score for newer posters. The longer someone has been posting here, the lower their score.
 
I'm going to say Uncle Cliffy'sdaddy is one of my favorite posters...kindred spirit..great to get to meet him and all you zeros at the meet and greet! jlprk and homer are part of the D league allstar thread team so we are linked since those epic Allan Crabbe Stampede games. Boob no more writes the best posts and anybody who makes me laugh has got to be in there somewhere.

Exactly. So your like-to-post ratio the day they implemented the like button was zero (0:250000).

A week later maybe you had five likes, and your like to post ratio would have been like 5:25010

Meanwhile someone who joined that week would be 5:10 or something.

Newer members who think this stat means something are deluding themselves.

It's super inaccurate though...it was tough getting a like the first season I was here...now it's easy....you can get a like for posting agreement for another person's post! (this post will be unlikeable)

Yes. Not only that, but reps were Only given for truly outstanding posts. Now, practically every comment gets a like.

I love all you folks in a pub sort of sense...intentional communities are good therapy. I'm grateful to talk music with all you knowledgeable music players and fans in the forum...el prez is a funny, true Blazer fan in the best of tradition..probably has the coolest swag collection and has cool photos on the random shit OT thread...HCP is an amazing photographer in my view..world class...great eye for composition..I want him to publish a book and give me a FREE signed copy!....It all starts and ends with the Dog....if I wanted to hire a manager for any operation or a PR guy...he's the dude. He could be our next secretary of state but quarantine laws would limit his ability to travel...Orion reminds me of myself on msg boards a decade ago..He's a big guy with a big heart! Darkwebs reminds me of my brother in law and is a chill, cool dude...barfo is the offspring of my drunken night with his mermaid mother. Chris Craig is a guy I will have a beer with one day and howl at the moon. All in all....I live a life of semi retired homesteading...kid raised and off in the world...peaceful time in life. fuck all the dumbshit in the world!
