To the OP, I have been thinking about that as well. Watched about three quarters last night. The First was terrible play. The second was the Island of Miss Fit Toys. You could see that these guys had no idea how to play together. I have no problem getting these guys some run, but it seems like that ;line up is better suited to play garbage time in a blow out, not second quarter in a game we are playing poorly in..

C'mon, BBert, Stotts is ALWAYS the problem. Get with the program! ;)
But my god, Evan Turner is fucking awful. I don't know why I held out hope over the summer that he'd turn into a player capable of hanging in the WC. But he's Junior Varsity through and through. Get that guy back to the Eastern Conference!

(And yeah, after Harkless, Nurk has been the most disappointing on the season.)
I just think he needs to get his turnovers down. And get his fg% up from 45 to 50.

The Blazers didn’t lose that game because of the second quarter. They lost because they lost the second half. And the greatest suckage award for the game goes to Evan Turner. First runner up was Nurk. Stotts wasn’t the problem.
Totally agree
Then there is this.

When terry tries a weird rotation, he should be fired. When he sticks to his general rigid -ish rotation, he should be more like pop, and run weird rotations, but he doesn't, so he should be fired.

So you are just saying Stotts should be fired because he either does or doesn't do enough. Right. Got it.

^^^I don't think anybody can blame you for last night's game, Damian. You were one of the few who looked to be trying.

It's not about losing a close game. It's about the rest of the game before that, and as far as coaches putting you in a position to do what you do: that's also a problem. It might not be the right position for this team.

On the offense 15 games into the season still not being there:

Damian Lillard said:
Still a little slow, yeah. I’m not sure – I’m really not sure. I think this is new, we haven’t had a good rhythm and flow to our offense and it might sound crazy, but I’m really not concerned. It doesn’t concern me because we’ve always been a good offensive team and it changes us improving on the defensive end. I just have faith that the offense is going to come around. We haven’t just had bad offensive games every game, we’ve had some good offensive games it just hasn’t been consistent. But we haven’t been very consistent as far as playing a complete game yet this season either so that goes along with it.

Yeah....I'd say it's a concern when nobody outside of Damian and CJ scores more than seven points.

We need one more star player. If we would have landed Paul George, this team would be something fierce. We will land that star free agent in the next two years in my opinion.
Something fierce like OKC and Indiana before that?

I just think it's not a good idea to assume he would.
If you want to think for a second that Paul George wouldn't help this team you are obviously a confused soul.
Your basketball concept needs evaluation at the very least.
Here is what you are suggesting. Harkless might be better for this team than George. That alone should make sense. But lets add another twist. You are suggesting Turner might bring what George does. Now for the best. You are suggesting Aminu could actually carry out what Paul George does on a nightly basis.
This might be why people question your responses to things on this forum.

So you're a stats guy. Got it. George most likely would have helped us, but it's not like the Pacers and Thunder, so far have been world beaters with him. What would we have given up for him?

People had been saying they wanted to see Jake out there instead of Harkless. So he does it and everyone gets mad. And Meyers was leading team in PER. Just trying it out. Didn't work. Biggest disappointment for me is Biggie. He can't hold onto the ball. He's been gifted an opportunity and has wilted under the bright lights. Remember when Dame said Biggie could win ROTY?
Jake looks like he could be a good player. Just because he's so athletic, has a bounce to his step, and seems like a good shooter, though his percentages in spot minutes haven't really been good. I think the calls for Layman are just desparation to get more production from the SF position.

Layman needs to go to an absolute shit team where he can play consistent minutes. He's never going to get consistent minutes on a playoff-bubble team. And without consistent minutes he'll never get to the point where he has an NBA game. But with 2-3 years of playing 15+ minutes a game on a team with zero expectations he could work his way up to being a role player on a good team. Basically he's Luke Babbitt, but further down in the pecking order than Babbitt was.

Stats Guy??? WTF are you talking about? Are you honestly trying to say Paul George is only better on a stat sheet?
