What kind of seats did you get?
I also got the purple seats but I didn't look into lower bowl options. I called at 11:55am and they said orange seats were already sold out.

I have to admit, it's really lame of the team to do this. I realize they want to reward STH, but come on..... not everyone can afford to buy season tickets right now, and a lot of people have been following this team through the shitty seasons. There are plenty of people who bought season tickets after we got Oden, who hadn't watched a game in years. I think it's bullshit. They're letting you guys buy up to four tickets? Seriously? That's fucked up.
I understand your opinion on the matter but the Portland TrailBlazers are a business. They are rewarding their investors just like any other company would
It would have been cool if they gave longer STH priority over recent STH but then you're getting a little too much into details and it kind of represents the organization as nit-picky.
I had season tickets when we were starting Telfaire, Khyapa, Miles, Zach, and Dixon. I think I deserve the right to get a couple extra tickets for my buddies as a reward for being a full time investor of the team. It's not like I can buy 10 tickets and they are not mailing them to us, so selling them online isn't an option either. So they reward some of the people who have been "investing" in them for two seasons, over the people who have been "investing" in them (without pause) for the last twenty? It's not very smart.
This city is historically filled with front runners. Most of the people on this board have been following the team through the good and the bad, but there are the casual fans who only jump on the band wagon when the team is winning. They like to use excuses like "bad character" or "Jail Blazers," but in reality they only care if the team is winning. They had no problem supporting the team when they were in the WCF with JR Rider, Rasheed Wallace, and Damon Stoudamire.
I think they should just give you priority over the seats you purchased. Allowing STH to buy up to four tickets each is ridiculous.
Most businesses work that way and there is a reason for that. You treat your best customers well by giving them extra incentives to keep coming back.I think they should just give you priority over the seats you purchased. Allowing STH to buy up to four tickets each is ridiculous.

I would be mad if Joe Blow who only goes to 1-2 games a year and didn't watch them at all during their down years had the same priority as me to get tickets.
I do understand your point and like repda503 said, it would be nice if they did this for season ticket holders before the GO draft. I still think the "fair weather" fans that shell out thousands for seasons still deserve a right before the general public.Do you think you're the norm Tince? Remember what happened after we won the lottery two years ago? The Blazers had one of the biggest STH booms in team history. Do you think those people should be rewarded? I'm not complaining about people who have been STH holders for 5+ years. I'm saying people who just jumped on the bandwagon should not be rewarded, while others are left out in the cold.

My major concern with this was that people would be able to have the tickets mailed to them and sell them on Stubhub for a hefty profit. I wouldn't be cool with that. I'm sure you could still do it, but by giving them out 90 minutes before tip-off, it makes it a little more difficult.
I guess I'm just bummed because this will be the first playoff series I will miss since the Rod Strickland era.
1000 tickets will be on sale this Thursday. There's still a chance you could get them.I guess I'm just bummed because this will be the first playoff series I will miss since the Rod Strickland era.
1000 tickets for an entire city. Nice.1000 tickets will be on sale this Thursday. There's still a chance you could get them.
I'll tell you what. If for some reason if I can't find 4 friends who want to go to the game with me, I'll send you a PM and sell them to you for what I paid for them.

Better than nothing. And my guess is the limit is 4, not 2, so that would only mean 250 people could get them.1000 tickets for an entire city. Nice.
Assume they limit tickets to 2 per person. 500 people will get them. Seems kinda messed up.
4 additional tickets just seems a bit excessive for each season ticket holder.
Not an issue of the money, it's an issue of distance and scheduling. I live two hours (soon to be three when I move to Seattle) away from Portland. Having season tickets for me is completely impractical as I only get down to Portland about once a month.Better than nothing. And my guess is the limit is 4, not 2, so that would only mean 250 people could get them.
All the more reason to be a season ticket holder I guess. If that's too much money for you, find a few buddies and split the season up.

All circuits are busy!!!!!!!
That is what I heard as well. And they sold out to STH within an hour. It's not like every single season ticket holder was also able to purchase 4 tickets per game. There was the option to, but I thought I heard where only 1000 were being offered there, and 1000 Thursday, meaning the rest of the playoff tickets were taken by season ticket holders, both full and partial. Seems fair to me to allow STHs the right to purchase more, as many as non-season ticket holders.
