Trump was compelling enough (to the people he was targeting) to win the election. Democrats weren't. And I really don't want Trump to win, so I wouldn't personally want him to be more compelling.

There were plenty of Americans who didn't buy Trump's bullshit who could have showed up and beaten Trump. Dems failed to turn out those voters.

Technically he didn’t campaign at all; like he did with Tesla and SpaceX, he merely purchased the government later after most of the work was done.

Last summer Trump handed door-knocking and phone-calling in swing states to Musk. Musk outsourced that by hiring small, already-established companies. Musk spent a quarter-billion dollars according to filings, and a lot more in dark money to secret PACS which are now allowed by the Supreme Court.

Trump don't care about the voters anymore. He can do whatever he wants.

Vance can even oppose him so Red MAGA can hold out hope that he's the real savior after Trump is out of the picture.

Maybe, but he needs congress for a lot of things.
If red MAGA loses faith in Trump, they won't pressure their congresscreeps to do whatever Trump wants.

I think congress is going to fight him anyway. He's about as lame duck as it gets. Anything he gets done will be what he can force with executive power.
 
Can you imagine the outrage on right wing media if any Democrat or liberal commentator said the things tech boys did?
