Yep lots of unprotected picks after Butler and Dame have played a couple years and the Heat drop because they have no assets and no picks.

That doesn't clear the Blazers for fucking things up, but expecting them to change from the norm is insanity.
 
I don't like this focus on Miami at all. There are several teams that need a great point guard and who could contend for a title with Lillard. Philly if Harden leaves. Toronto still needs a Lillard, Schroder is really a backup. Brooklyn. LA Clippers if Harden stays in Philly or goes elsewhere, New York Knicks certainly could fit him in. Boston.

just as long as "lots" = 2

that's how many picks Miami has to trade 2028 & 2030; 5 and 7 years from now. Not exactly a "haul" is it?
 
It would be so weird to see Dame in an Utah jersey.

Ainge vs Cronin sounds like bad news for us.

I don't understand, if that is a response to me? I was responding to a tweet by a guy named Keith. I don't think I implied that Dame had anything on Cronin.
 
Ainge would have Cronin eagerly sign on for super-deluxe undercoating, 20 key fobs, 30y extended warranty, 3 sets of spare wheel locks.
 
Did a quick scan of Twitter before going on a run.

One writer tweeted that the Heat didn't want to give up Jovic. Another tweeted the Heat didn't want to part with Martin. Also, the Heat signed Jaquez, which means he can't be traded for 30 days.

Now, with all respect to what the Heat want, if they want someone like Dame, I don't think they get to keep either Jovic or Martin, and I want Jaquez, too.

If the Blazers want to send Dame to a preferred destination, so be it, but if that preferred destination doesn't want to give up anything, the heck with them and Dame. Send him wherever you get the best deal and make it their problem.

I said this about Dame when he said players want to come to Portland -- tell your friends to tell their teams you want to be traded to Portland. OK, that didn't seem to happen. Now, Dame, if you want to go to Miami, tell the Heat to get a deal done, and Cronin, don't you dare give in on this; hold their feet to the fire.

Portland - Claxton/Jaquez(or Jovic)/Simmons(for salary)/2027 and 29 Phoenix 1s/2027 Miami 1/2 Pick swaps with Miami

Brooklyn - Nurk/Herro/2029 Miami 1

Add whatever filler to make money work. I could live with this.
