NBA source: There's a firesale in Golden State & everyone's available except Curry. Owner trying to make team more attractive for new buyer

This guy could step in right away and play the way Nate always wanted Rudy to play: Park beyond the arc and wait for the ball. He should be near the top or on top of Paul Allen's free-agent wishlist.

Who do we trade? I think Nate would have great interest in him.

I doubt they take Rudy.

Golden State has several interesting pieces...Morrow, Ellis, Biedrins and Randolph. If I were a GM, I'd explore how cheaply any of them could be pried away. None of them are "must haves," but any of them could really help the team at the right price. Firesales are buying opportunities. ;)

Depends on the size of the conflagration ... Forget buying, I'd lean more toward an excellent chance to go looting.

Agreed, let's go get Morrow.

If I want someone from the Warriors, I want Ellis. Roy could run the point and play defense on the two. Ellis would give us much needed speed in the backcourt.

Anyone here have a problem if, at some point this offseason, Miller, Bayless and Rudy are gone and JJ Redick and Morrow are in their shoes?

So, you want JJ running PG?

Not sure I like that.

Oh, no doubt he's better than Blake, but that's an awful lot of talent to give up for a specialty player off the bench and a pseudo PG.

I don't want to give up Jerryd without getting a definite starting PG in return.

Yes, quite a lot of a problem. Miller is significantly better now than either player and Redick and Morrow were virtually equal to Bayless last season, but Bayless has more potential being younger.

I wouldn't hate losing Rudy to get one of them. But I also wouldn't be excited. I don't think Redick or Morrow have shown themselves to be clearly superior to Rudy.

TOV% didn't?

Only in that it indicates that JJ generally doesn't keep the ball long enough to turn it over. More shots in fewer minutes, higher usage %. Blake's TO% is higher because he's attempting to distribute the ball, which means there are more opportunities for turnovers. Rip Hamilton's career TO% is 11.6--that doesn't make him more of a PG than Blake. I don't think there's any question that Blake is much more of a pure point guard than JJ.

We need a JJ/Korver/Morrow type of a guy. Maybe Babbit will be that guy.
