I just look at what the press is claiming and then look for facts to support what they say, or look for what they're not saying.

That's a screen grab from the NYTimes article. What's in the big text is what they spin as a lie, and then prove it isn't a lie. WTF?
 
I also don't defend Trump regardless of what he does.

The whole immigration thing is just awful. All the way around - the executive order and going after Mexicans or other South Americans. The wall is pointless.

Not a big fan of massive spending increases. The guy inherited a fiscal mess, better to clean that up first before investing money we don't have.

There's no point in parsing everything he says. He shoots from the hip, obviously, and doesn't always have ready command of the facts. This, however, is a big part of his appeal to tens of millions of voters.

The inauguration crowd size thing and illegal voting claim isn't very productive.

He's not leading the republicans. Whatever he wants to do, they're not exactly following.

The "all the news is left" is nothing more than fake news itself and a disgustingly lazy way to avoid accountability. The right doesn't want to be held accountable for their lies and false narratives, so it's much easier to blame their opponents as the liars and tellers of false narratives. And all the "fake news" bullshit does is muddy the waters further, making it easier for the right to bamboozle their already clueless followers. Which is and has been their long game to begin with.....

I absolutely loathe Trump and I base my opinions on words that I know beyond a doubt have come from his own mouth, and on actions I know beyond a doubt he has personally instigated. Just because I (and plenty of others) find that dismaying and disgusting doesn't make it fake news. It means the truth is often ugly and we each have to react to it and deal with it in our own ways. If I have to trust the words and rationalizations of Trump and his pack of sycophants over my lying ears and eyes, I'll trust my lying ears and eyes every damn time......But @3RA1N1AC is correct, the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle......and every link, chart, graph and opinion piece Denny can throw out won't change that.......I've had enough dealings (in very small time, local encounters) where no matter how much time was spent providing accurate information, answering questions and trying to paint as factual a picture as possible, parts of the story almost always get ignored or misrepresented. But the bulk of the story is virtually always grounded in solid truth.

You cant have it both ways Denny. You and the Trump fan boys have castigated the Trump haters for calling Trump voters stupid, uneducated, etc, etc. But now you're trying to say that that those same Trump haters are stupid for falling for "fake news" and we aren't smart enough to think for ourselves. You guys are as guilty of playing class politics as those you accuse on the left......not that ANY of you will ever admit that. Gawd I can't wait for 2020.....assuming Donny lasts that long.....

Who is this right wing news? On TV? Not CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, or local news, or NYTimes or WaPost.

Trump voters aren't falling for anything. They're cheering Trump on in setting the media straight.

Surely some good things have been accomplished since Trump took office. You got it right, it's outright ignored. On purpose.

FWIW, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, NYTimes, and WaPost should be objective, not cheerleaders or sore losers. Promoting this "truth" that is in the middle somehow.

There are plenty of more fringe left wing and right wing sources to be the megaphone for the sore losers.

This might be of marginal utility for those people genuinely curious about what kind of media you are consuming. I've found most of their ratings to be generally fair, and they even allow a certain amount of crowd-sourcing, so you can see what people who bother to vote actually think of news outlets. Not perfect, but maybe a way to get started?

If for no other reason than "meltdown(s)" in the title is false advertising, this constitutes fake news. Just a bunch off people (pundits paid for their commentary) sharing honest opinions and feelings about Trump's election. They certainly reflected....very accurately.....how I felt and still feel. But then, who wants honesty??. Not the right. They'd rather be sore winners and gloat after personally "suffering" so terribly for the previous eight years. After all, they were such gracious "losers" during that time. Funny how you like to paint those who don't share your world view as "losers", and "butt hurt", et al, but you play the offended card when you're on the receiving end of labels you don't like.

And Trump isn't setting anyone "straight" about the media. And the right would love to take away that particular constitutional privilege so they don't have to suffer having the truth rubbed in their faces. For the media to say otherwise would then truly be a lie.....and you'd have an actual leg to stand on.
 
I've known the "news" was biased for nearly my whole life. Newspapers have owners, tv stations have owners. All it takes is a little bit of common sense to see through the nonsense. The approximate truth is fairly easy to decipher most times.

Suddenly having a problem with the media because they all hate your boy trump? Late to the party bro.

Absolutely not the case, absolutely bullshit, you fail to pay attention. Yes the Media (press) has Constitutional protection and rightfully so. But this was never intended to extend into protected them from
misleading their clients nor slandering the Government, including the Executives. And no way was it ever intended to permit them to commit sedition. The federal government has no due process in place
to police the press and rightfully so as Jefferson has explained. The states are the only authority with jurisdiction to control slander and sedition by the press. Although Adams and Lincoln had sedition law
to curb it, most people agree it is not wise for the federal government to police the people that are intended to watch their activity.

But there is no State today with power over the press, so we have a big fucking hole. Trump is within his right to speak his mind under the first amendment and he is doing so. The untruthful bastards in the press who should guard the public interest have been failing to do so and now step into attempting sedition since their queen lost. It is time to learn what is right.
CNN and MSNBC have been a fucking joke for over eight years now. I quit watch CNN about 13 14 years ago when I found them selling baloney too often. Switched to MSNBC for a few years
until Chris Mathew got a thrill down his leg. That did it. Even Fox has their bull sellers but thankfully they did not renew the prime offender. Their man Sheppard Smith complains like you guys,
poor sob, I think he is half retarded though. He is suppose to give the straight news but he just can help from weighing in.

from a guy who just wrote a really, really long complaint? vote...you can complain...pay taxes...you can complain...serve your country ..you can complain...I haven't had a tv addiction in my entire life....never paid much attention..preferred to read...I like to think for myself...what I'm sick of is divisionism and labeling beyond being called a fellow American around here...that's a sign of the times...what I call fake news is assumptions...assigning categories to people because of their own freedoms of expression...we all filter what is our truth ...doesn't matter how you spin it.

Ok, some channels don't present the news the way you like. So go watch Fox or Infowars if that's what turns your crank. It's a free country. You don't have to watch TV if it makes you so angry.

So many wrongs w/this picture. But, I'll just name a couple gimmies.

1. CNN should be squarely in the mixed quality, towards lower quality with its continual lack of false reporting from Don Lemon to name one. As well as being under the middle of Hyper Left and Garbage left due to the bias shown during the election campaign; Donna Brazil, Wolf Blitzer anyone?

2. Politico is not as high quality as it shows on here. Not even close.
