Event Fan Fest on Comcast right now

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Is there a link to it? Facebook has Holton and Wheels--I want to hear Hurd and Kevin!

For all people on here that didn't like Mike and Mike calling games because they were too homerish what do you think of who is calling the game tonight? Sheldon and Dwight are far what you could call homers. Is this the kind of game calling you want all year?

Just curious.

Dwight Jaynes thinks Napier is going to crack the rotation... Hopefully he doesn't consider playong garbage time as such.

Napier does look alright, there just aren't any minutes for him. It will be nice to have him on b2bs and what not to give Dame and CJ rest.

I'm loving Lamar on the facebook feed. He's hilarious!

Lamar commentates a lot like Reggie Miller.

Overtime in the first game!!! If this is a sign of what's too come we are going to have a lot people with high blood pressure this season.

*I can't type fast enough it seems.

Plumlees form is artistic, like a Jackson Pollock.

That last minute was really sloppy. Really need to clean that up if they want to be taken seriously this season.

I thought it started at 6:00. I missed it. Looking for it, I found another game on the internet. Halftime, Houston Rockets 72, Shanghai Sharks 45.

Did the rookies dance at halftime?

I believe comcast is replaying the fan fest right now.

They danced at the end of the game.

I wish you had not missed it! Maybe then I would find out a few details about the game; which the other posters have not provided!

Hey guys, what was the roster of each team? What was the score and who won? Who looked better than expected and who worse? Any colorful plays?

The scrimmage was tied at 46-46 at the end of four six-minute, running clock quarters, which prompted a one minute overtime period. But with both teams scoring just one two-point field goal at the end of that short overtime, the scrimmage moved to a sudden death period, in which Mason Plumlee hit a baseline midrange jumper to tilt the scales for the Black team. “Nice pass, good shot, happy to hit it,” said Plumlee, who finished with nine points, seven rebounds and an assist, of his scrimmage-winner.

Though Plumlee had the final say, it was Damian Lillard whose performance earned Portland’s starting point guard Fan Fest MVP honors. As a part of the White team, Lillard came out dialed in from deep early in the scrimmage, going 3-of-4 from three for 11 first-quarter points. The 6-3 guard entering his fifth season out of Weber State would finish with 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting from three, two assists and a rebound in the losing effort.

Pat Connaughton finished with 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting and five rebounds for the White team while Shabazz Napier went for 13 points and two assists for the Black team. CJ McCollum added nine points for Black and Allen Crabbe pitched in six points and four assists.

But no box score.

13,952 were there, so the dearth of reports must be because the whole board's there. They're all writing their book-length reports right now. Soon we'll be overwhelmed with reading material in this thread.

For those that missed the game...

- Dame and CJ looked sharp. Crisp passes and CJ's ball handling looks even better this year.
- Turner was active but overall a mixed bag. Couple of crafty plays off the bounce but threw some passes expecting guys to be in spots they weren't and spot J didn't look good.
- I don't think Pumlee's jumper is a thing we'll see much this year. I expect him to improve from the foul line though.
- Crabbe looked more comfortable with the dribble. Made a couple nice passes out of the weak side two man game as well.
- Harkless' shot looks smoother, but missed his only attempt from 3.
- Davis looks like he's working himself into shape. Didn't look great running the floor. Active on the boards though.
- Napier looked better than expected. He's still a terrible finisher, but played with a nice pace and showed better feel working out of the pnr than what I saw in Orlando.
- Connaughton shot it a lot and pretty well. He still doesn't look to have enough skills to be a rotation player though.
- Nobody really stood out among the non-guaranteed guys.

For anyone one thinking about PlayStation Vue: I just logged in, and started the Fan Fest without having to Record it intentionally. But I can't fast forward through commercials.

If Dame can shoot above 40% for the season from 3 with his volume, it would be a huge step forward in him climbing to definitive top 10 player.

I'm sure Dame would love a 50/40/90 season.
